I thought of this one night when I was craving apple crisp and was watching what I was eating. Now I have it as a dessert and there is no need to feel guilty!

Steps:
- Cut apple into 1 inch pieces, put in bowl and sprinkle cinnamon and brown sugar over top and eat.
- You can also pop in the microwave for a minute, which is equally great!

Steps:
- Combine the apples, sugar, flour and cinnamon in a large bowl. Transfer to an 11x7-in. baking dish; dot with butter. , For topping, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder and nutmeg in another large bowl. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in egg just until moistened; sprinkle over filling., Bake, uncovered, at 375° for 40-45 minutes or until topping is golden brown and apples are tender. Serve warm with ice cream if desired.

- Arrange sliced apples in a large baking dish (like a 10"x15" or a 9"x13”). Sprinkle with cornstarch, sugar, cinnamon and drizzle with lemon juice and water. Mix thoroughly, until the apples are well coated (as always, using your hands is easier – and fun!). Spread into an even layer.
- In a medium bowl, combine oats, flour, pecans, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg if using. Melt butter and pour over oat mixture. Mix well and sprinkle over apples.
- Bake for 50 minutes to 1 hour, or until topping is golden brown and the apples are super tender (test with a knife, especially in the center). If the topping starts becoming too brown before the apples are ready, cover with foil until they are done.
