These oatmeal cookies are better for you than the average cookie. Whole wheat flour, peanut butter chips, chocolate chips, cinnamon, and nutmeg also give them more flavor. If you like oatmeal cookies, I urge you to try these!!

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg whites and egg one at a time, beating well with each addition, then stir in the vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt; gradually stir into the creamed mixture. Then stir in the quick oats, peanut butter chips and chocolate chips. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.

- Raspberries. Because adding more fiber into your diet is a helpful way to lose weight, topping your oatmeal with raspberries is also an easy way to get that fiber in!
- Fried egg. Oats taste great with savory toppings, too! Adding a fried egg on top boosts the protein content (6 grams) of your oatmeal, as well as the fat content (5 grams).
- Maple syrup. While there are a lot of easy packets of instant oatmeal out there, those typically are packed with lots of added sugars. Nevertheless, you can get the same great taste at home if you make a bowl of plain oats and add a teaspoon of maple syrup.
- Peanut butter. Another easy—and plant-based—way to get protein in your bowl is by adding a tablespoon of peanut butter. Peanut butter can actually do a lot for your weight loss!
- Banana. If you're going to add a tablespoon of peanut butter, might as well top it with a few slices of banana to pair! Although bananas are higher in carbohydrates, sugar, and calories, they are still dense in fiber and potassium.
- Sliced almonds. Nuts are an easy topping for oats, but if you're not careful, you can easily overdo it on the calories. Adding 24 whole almonds adds an extra 164 calories to your bowl!
- Dark chocolate. Craving a little chocolate in the morning? Instead of opting for a large pile of calorie-dense chocolate chip pancakes, why not throw in a few dark chocolate chips into a bowl of oats?
