Steps:
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Place flour, salt, butter, herbs and pepper in bowl of food processor fitted with steel blade.
- Pulse until combined.
- With motor running, pour 1/4 cup water slowly into feed tube.
- Add a bit more if necessary until mixture begins to hold together but is not sticky.
- Process until dough forms ball.
- Roll dough out on lightly floured surface until very thin, less than 1/8 inch if possible.
- Transfer to ungreased cookie sheet, and prick all over with fork.
- Score lightly with sharp knife if you wish to break into rectangles later on.
- Or leave in free-form shape that you can break into shards.
- Bake 12 to 14 minutes, until lightly browned.
- Cool on rack and store in airtight container.
- Variations: Work small amounts of seeds, herbs or garlic into dough before rolling it out.
- For garlic crackers, add 1/8 teaspoon granulated garlic.
- Or create your own mixture.
SODA CRACKER COOKIES
Crackers topped with chocolate and nuts. Try using almonds in place of the walnuts.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line a 15 x 10 inch baking pan with foil and grease it well. Line the pan with soda crackers.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter. Add the brown sugar and cook stirring it until it dissolves. Bring to a boil and cook about 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Immediately pour mixture over the soda crackers.
- Bake for 3 to 5 minutes or until the mixture starts to bubble. Spread the chocolate chips over the hot cookies. Let set for a minute. Spread the chocolate evenly. Sprinkle with nuts. Let cool, then cut into bars.

HERB CRACKER/COOKIES
This recipe really grabbed my attention as I was surfing the net. I thought you all would enjoy this recipe too- although I have changed it a bit to suit my tastes the spices and herbs can be interchanged to suit your likes. Hope you like it. Hugs, Pat. - Using an electric mixer, cream the cheese and butter until well combined. Set aside.
- In a separate bowl, stir flour, spices,and salt.Add this mixture to the cheese mixture and stir to combine. Place mixture in a blender and pulse until it comes together - if too dry sprinkle with a Tablespoon of half and half.
- Turn dough onto wax paper, roll into a log or square log. Wrap in the wax paper and chill overnight. --Next day; Preheat oven to 375^. Lightly spray cookie sheets. Set aside.
- Remove dough from fridge and slice 1/4 inch thick; place on prepared baking sheet. Prick holes with fork tines in 3 or 4 rows, sprinkle with salt. Bake 12-15 minutes until golden around the edges.Remove to wire rack to cool. Store in air tight container when cool up to 4 days or so. Can be frozen after baked and reheated for a few minutes, before serving. Great with all your dips and spreads or your favorite soups and salads.
SALTINE CRACKER COOKIES

- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Line cookie sheet with foil.
- Place 40 crackers in one layer on cookie sheet.
- In saucepan on low heat, combine butter and brown sugar.
- Heat until blended. Boil 3 minutes.
- Pour mixture evenly over crackers.
- Sprinkle cracker centers with chocolate chips.
- Place in oven until chips melt.
- Sprinkle with chopped nuts.
- Cut while warm.
- Store on wax paper.
