  • Preheat a grill pan or skillet over a medium-high flame. Brush both sides of each pita with olive oil. Heat 1 pita at a time in the grill pan or skillet, for about 2 minutes on each side, until it is nicely marked. Cut each pita into 6 wedges. Sprinkle with salt, to taste, and serve.

Steps:

  • Separate each pita into 2 rounds by cutting along edges. cut each half into six wedges to make 24 triangles. combine oil, butter, garlic a nd oregano. Microwave mixture just until butter is melted. Add a pinch of salt and pepper and stir. lightly brush rough edges of pita with oil mixture. Bake in preheated 325 degrees F. oven for 10 minutes or until wedges are dry and golden.

Continue to process until completely smooth.Spoon hummus into bowl, drizzle with additional olive oil, a pinch of smoked paprika, and a few leaves of chopped parsley. Serve with the prepared pita chips, carrot sticks, and celery. Hummus can be kept in an air tight container for up to 5 days.
