Jacks Jell O And Fruit Salad Recipes
JACK'S JELL-O AND FRUIT SALAD
Jack could eat fruit all day long, especially berries. He is enamored with different colors and shapes, so to set them off, we love to make him these sweet, jiggly salads. We serve them at playdates with his friends Lex, Brady, and Colin (they're triplets, y'all) and make a game of digging up the fruit in the Jell-O (yup, with their hands-it's messy!).
Yield serves 6 to 8 kids
Number Of Ingredients 5
Steps:
- In a large bowl, combine the Jell-O with 2 cups of boiling water. Stir until the powder dissolves completely, about 2 minutes. Stir in 2 cups of cold water. Pour the mixture into a 3-quart Jell-O mold and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Stir in the strawberries, blueberries, grapes, and bananas. Return the mold to the refrigerator and continue to chill until very firm, about 3 hours. Unmold and serve cold in bowls.
CREAMY JELL-O FRUIT COCKTAIL SALAD

Steps:
- Drain fruit cocktail, reserving 3/4 cup juice.
- Add boiling water to gelatin mix in medium bowl; stir 2 min. until completely dissolved. Stir in reserved juice and lemon juice; pour 1-1/4 cups into 8x4-inch loaf pan sprayed with cooking spray. Refrigerate 1 hour or until gelatin is set but not firm.
- Add remaining gelatin mixture gradually to cream cheese in medium bowl, whisking after each addition until blended. Stir in fruit. Spoon over gelatin layer in pan.
- Refrigerate 4 hours or until firm. Unmold before serving.

- Empty Jello-O packets into a large bowl. Add 2 cups boiling water and stir well until Jello-O is dissolved.
- Add crushed pineapple and strawberries and stir to combine. Stir in whole cranberry sauce. Stir in shredded apple and chopped bananas.
- Pour into desired serving dish--I use a 9x13'' pan, but you could put it in a trifle or other dish-- and refrigerate for several hours or until firm.
