MAPLE NUT BUTTER
This is wonderful on scones! I recently had friends stay in a Bed and Breakfast near my home. I met them every morning there and was served breakfast with them. This was served with the B&B's Dried Cherry Scones. We all loved it! I will post the recipe for Dried Cherry Scones on this site.

EASY CINNAMON MAPLE BUTTER
You have to try this on waffles, pancakes or toast! If you don't want to use a pound of butter then cut the recipe in half...also, if you are using unsalted butter then add in a pinch of salt.

MAPLE BUTTER TARTS
Make your own delectable custard tarts instead of buying them. We've subbed in the very Canadian ingredient maple syrup for the more common corn syrup. Plus, we've included variations on the classic, with chocolate and pecans instead of raisins.

Steps:
- Sour Cream Pastry:.
- In bowl, whisk flour with salt. Using pastry blender, cut in butter and lard until in fine crumbs with a few larger pieces. Whisk water with sour cream; drizzle over flour mixture, tossing briskly with fork and adding more water if necessary to form ragged dough.
- Press into disc; wrap and refrigerate until chilled, about 30 minutes. (Make-ahead: Refrigerate for up to 3 days.).
- On lightly floured surface, roll out pastry to generous 1/8-inch (3 mm) thickness. Using 4-inch (10 cm) round cutter, cut out 12 circles, re rolling and cutting scraps. Fit into 12 muffin cups; refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Meanwhile, whisk together brown sugar, maple syrup, butter, eggs, vinegar and salt. Divide walnuts, currants and raisins among pastry shells. Spoon scant 1/4 cup filling into each shell.
- Bake in 350 º F (180 º C) oven until filling is set and pastry is golden, 20 to 25 minutes. Run thin knife around edges to release tarts. Let cool in pan on rack for 20 minutes. Transfer to rack; let cool completely. (Make-ahead: Store in single layer in airtight container at room temperature for up to 24 hours.).
- Additional information :
- Maple Chocolate Butter Tarts:.
- Replace currants and raisins with 1/2 cup chopped bittersweet chocolate or semisweet chocolate chips.
- Maple Pecan Butter Tarts:.

MAPLE BUTTER
My family loves the flavor of French toast in the morning. So for a little variety, we like to replace maple syrup with this slightly sweet topping.

This is a recipe that I created, and my husband fell in love with it, as did my father-in-law, so I made 14 batches of this and gave it out as Christmas gifts. I hope you enjoy it.

Steps:
- Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil; spray lightly with cooking spray. Reserve 2 tablespoons of almonds and sprinkle the rest evenly over the foil.
- Combine brown sugar and maple syrup in a 2-quart saucepan over medium heat. Cook and stir until sugar is dissolved and caramel mixture comes to a full boil, about 10 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Turn oven off once preheated; place prepared baking sheet in the oven to warm.
- Attach a candy thermometer to the saucepan with the caramel mixture. Add butter. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the mixture reaches 300 degrees F (149 degrees C) or until a small amount dropped into ice water forms a hard, brittle strand, about 20 minutes.
- Remove baking sheet from the oven and immediately pour the caramel mixture over the almonds. Spread evenly to about 1/4-inch thickness. Sprinkle remaining almonds and chocolate chips over open spaces. Spread chocolate evenly once melted. Let brittle cool completely, at least 30 minutes. Break into pieces.

MAPLE NUT BARS
A delicious bar with a buttery crust that melts in your mouth and a sweet nutty topping similar to pecan pie. I have decreased the amount of liquid in the recipe since the first review.
