Steps:
- Preheat oven to 400.
- In a bowl, combine onions, bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese.
- Add beef and mix well.
- shape into 1-inch balls; place on a rack.
- In a shallow baking pan, bake for 15-20 minutes or until no longer pink. (Or cook in a skillet on medium heat.).
- Reduce oven temperature to 350.
- Meanwhile, arrange bread in a single layer in an ungreased 13x9x2" baking dish.
- (All of the bread might not be used.).
- Combine cream cheese, mayo, Italian seasoning and pepper; spread over the bread.
- Sprinkle with 1/2 cup mozzarella.
- Combine sauce, water and garlic; add meatballs.
- Pour over cheese mixture; sprinkle with remaining mozzarella.
- Bake, uncovered at 350 for 30 minutes or until heated through.

- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
- Mix ground beef, green onion, bread crumbs, and Parmesan cheese together in a bowl; form into 1-inch meatballs. Arrange meatballs in a baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven until no longer pink in the center, 15 to 20 minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 160 degrees F (70 degrees C).
- Arrange bread slices in a single layer in a 9x13-inch baking dish. Combine cream cheese, mayonnaise, Italian seasoning, and pepper in a bowl; spread over bread slices. Sprinkle 1/2 of the mozzarella cheese over the cream cheese mixture.

- Preheat broiler. Microwave meatballs, covered, on high until heated through, 4-6 minutes. Meanwhile, place bread on an ungreased baking sheet; brush one side of bread with oil. Broil 4-6 in. from heat until golden brown, 1-2 minutes. Rub bread with cut surface of garlic; discard garlic. Tear bread into bite-sized pieces; transfer to a greased 11x7-in. baking dish.
