BROWN SUGAR FUDGE

I love this recipe for fudge. Nice and creamy texture. I like to double up on the nuts to take away from the sweetness. This fudge recipe has always worked for me as long as I boil for exactly 10 minutes and beat for exactly 5.

Steps:

  • ** I used Low Fat Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk and it came out GREAT!
  • Put everything in a glass bowl. To start I didn't even mix anything. Place in the microwave for 10 minutes, only then stopping about every 2 minutes to mix.
  • Put tinfoil in a 8x8 pan with it overhanging the sides. I sprayed it with a bit of Pam (no cook spray). I don't like rounded corners in pans so I used a square Tupperware plastic freezer container I have. An easy way to get the tinfoil to fit is to place the tinfoil on the outside of the container squishing it to form all around. Then pop it off and put it inside the container.
  • After ten minutes in the microwave, let mixture slightly cool. Beat with electric beater for 5 minutes.
  • Pour into your 8x8 pan. Let cool in the fridge for about 3 hours.

1 (300 ml) can sweetened condensed milk
2 cups brown sugar, tightly packed
1 cup butter

Steps:

  • Combine milk, sugar, syrup and butter in microwave safe bowl (with spout on it if possible). Cook 6 minutes, stirring after every two. Add marshmallows and cook, stirring every 30 seconds, until all combined. Working quickly, pour mixture into cones, then refrigerate. If you poke holes in the large side of a cereal box and stand the cones up in them, you can pour the batter right into each one.

1 box mini iced cream cones
1 can sweetened condensed milk
2 cups brown sugar
1/3 cup corn syrup
1/2 cup butter
2 cups mini marshmallows

Steps:

  • 1. Line 8 X 8 inch bowl or pan with foil or wax paper and spray lightly with Pam. Set aside. Next dump all ingredients in a microwave safe bowl. Do no mix now. Heat for 8 minutes, stopping every 2 minutes to stir until heated and mixed well. After 8 minutes is up, allow mixture to cool slightly. Beat with electric mixer for about 5 minutes. Pour in greased pan. Refrigerate 3 hours to cool. Remove from refrigerator and slice as many pieces and sizes as you prefer. Servings depends on how you slice it.
  • 2. This basic recipe tastes like toffee. This is optional: After spreading basic mixture in pan, spread on carmel ice cream topping thinly over the mixture or melt some carmel chips and spread over it. Then melt some chocolate chips and spread over the carmel. This will then taste similar to Heath Toffee Candy Bars. Add 1 tablespoon or so of milk to chips to heat and make more spreadable.

1 c butter
2 c brown sugar, tightly packed; or splenda brown sugar
1 can(s) sweetened condensed milk; or use imitation sweetened condensed milk (recipe on this site)
