NONFAT CITRUS VINAIGRETTE DRESSING

YUM! This is a modification of a recipe that I found on lowfatlifestyle.com. I like to serve this atop a salad of lettuce, turkey or chicken, and fruit such as pears.

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients and allow to sit at room temp for 1 hour so that flavors come together.

one large orange, juice of
2 tablespoons lemon juice (1 lemon)
1 teaspoon brown sugar (may sub honey if you'd like)
1 garlic clove, crushed
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
1/2 teaspoon all purpose seasoning (I like Trader Joe's 21 Salute, but any herb blend or even just dried basil would work well)
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
1 dash salt
fresh ground black pepper
