CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES WITH TRUVIA® BAKING BLEND

The classic chocolate chip cookie has been a family favorite for generations. This easy-to-make recipe with Truvia® Baking Blend has 60% less sugar* than the full sugar version.

Chocolate Chip Cookies with Truvia® Baking Blend image

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Combine flour, salt and baking soda in a small bowl.
  • Beat butter, Truvia® Baking Blend and vanilla (and optional molasses) in a separate large mixing bowl. Mix in egg.
  • Gradually stir in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips.
  • Drop rounded tablespoons on cookie sheets and press down to slightly flatten.
  • Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until lightly browned.

½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ cup butter, softened
¼ cup Truvia® Baking Blend, plus
2 tablespoons Truvia® Baking Blend
½ teaspoon vanilla
1 large egg
1 cup chocolate chips
½ tablespoon molasses (see note)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • In a large mixing bowl cream butter, Truvia® Baking Blend, molasses, egg and vanilla until smooth.
  • In a second bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt.
  • Add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture, mixing until uniform. Stir in the oats and raisins.
  • Drop tablespoons of the dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet, leaving 2 inches between cookies.
  • Bake for 10 minutes or until just golden at the edges.
  • Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes, then remove cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.
