ORANGE BRUTUS
This is very similar to an Orange Julius. The recipe was clipped from our local newspaper many years ago, when there was massive media attention on finding the actual recipe for the original Orange Julius drink. This was a major contender, which soon gained its own popularity among those who preferred this blended drink over the actual Orange Julius drink.

Steps:
- Place all ingredients in a blender, and blend for about 30 seconds, or until the drink is smooth and frothy.
- Serve in tall, chilled glasses.
- VARIATIONS - For variety, try other frozen juice flavors, such as banana, mango, pineapple, strawberry, strawberry-banana, passion fruit, pineapple-orange, or lime daiquiri.

Steps:
- Peel the oranges removing all pith and slice thinly.
- Place in a shallow 5 cup oven proof dish and sprinkle with the liqueur.
- Lightly whip the heavy (35%) cream and blend it with the sour cream.
- Spread over the oranges.
- Chill thoroughly in the refrigerator.
- A few minutes before serving sprinkle the Demerara sugar on top and broil until the sugar has melted.
