Red Hot Sugar Cookies Recipes

Steps:

• Preheat an oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
• Whisk together flour, baking soda, and baking powder in a small bowl. Using an electric mixer, beat butter and sugar in a large bowl until smooth. Beat in egg and vanilla. Stir in the dry ingredients.

Remove to wire racks to cool., In a small bowl, beat the butter, confectioners' sugar, vanilla and enough milk until frosting reaches desired consistency. Tint 1/3 cup green; set aside. Tint remaining frosting red. Frost "peppers" red and "stems" green; sprinkle with matching sugar.
