- In a large bowl, combine the apples, sugar, cinnamon and cloves. Transfer to a greased 13x9-in. baking dish. Dot with 2 tablespoons butter. Bake, uncovered, at 325° for 25 minutes or until apples are crisp-tender. , Meanwhile, in a small skillet, melt remaining butter. Add bread crumbs; cook and stir for 3-5 minutes or until crispy and golden brown. Sprinkle over apple mixture. , Bake 10-15 minutes longer or until apples are tender. Serve warm.

- Preheat oven to 350°. In a small bowl, combine apple slices, sugar and lemon juice; toss to coat. Set aside. In an 8- or 9-in. cast-iron or other ovenproof skillet, heat butter over medium heat. Add onion; cook and stir until crisp-tender, about 3 minutes. Remove from the heat., Alternately arrange potato and apple slices in a single layer in same skillet. Combine 3/4 cup Parmesan cheese, cream, thyme, salt and pepper; pour over top., Bake, uncovered, 50 minutes. Top with bacon and remaining 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese. Bake until potatoes are tender and top is lightly browned, 5-10 minutes longer. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. If desired, sprinkle with parsley.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
- Combine brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves together in a large bowl; add apples and toss to coat. Stir raisins, walnuts, and butter into apple mixture. Spread apple mixture evenly in prepared baking dish. Combine milk and vanilla extract together in a bowl; pour evenly over apple mixture. Cover baking dish with aluminum foil.
- Bake in preheated oven until apples are easily pierced with a fork, about 30 minutes.
- Remove foil and stir apples. Bake until apples are very soft and mixture is bubbly, about 30 minutes more.

- Place 1 in. of water in a saucepan; add rutabaga. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 7-9 minutes or until crisp-tender. Drain. In a small bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, salt, thyme, cinnamon and pepper. , Place half of the rutabaga in a 1-qt. baking dish coated with cooking spray; brush with 1-1/2 teaspoons butter. - 1. Combine butter, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, zest and pecans and stuffing mix.
- 2. Combine apples, cranberry sauce and juice.
- 3. Mix 1/2 of stuffing mixture into apples, cranberry sauce and juice.
- 4. Spread into a buttered casserole dish.
- 5. Sprinkle rest of stuffing mixture over top.
- 6. Bake @ 375 for 40 minutes.
SCALLOPED APPLES ANN
This is my version of scalloped apples made up in an attempt to keep the sugars as low as possible. I don't think that they can get any lower because you can't take the sugars out of the apples.
