This quick-cooking dish requires prime meat. The whisky liqueur will reduce to a sweet glistening glaze. The creamy sauce has a delicious boozy flavour.

Steps:

  • Cut the beef up into thin strips.
  • Melt the butter in a medium frying pan.
  • Add the beef strips and onion and cook for 5-10 minutes, until the beef is brown and cooked to taste.
  • Stir in the liqueur and cream.
  • Heat gently to reduce liquid slightly.
  • Serve at once with vegetables.

  • Melt the butter over a low heat in a small saucepan.
  • Stir in the sugar,whiskey, water, nutmeg, and salt until dissolved and it is well mixed.
  • Remove from heat and vigorously whisk in the egg in the mixture until light and frothy.
  • Turn the heat up to medium and bring to a boil while stirring gently.
  • Cook until thickened, about a minute.
  • Serve at once.
