Steps:
- Heat oven to 400°F. Spray 9-inch glass pie plate with cooking spray.
- In 10-inch skillet, cook beef, salt, pepper, onion and bell pepper over medium-high heat 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until beef is thoroughly cooked; drain. Stir in 3 tablespoons ketchup. Spread in pie plate.
- In medium bowl, stir Bisquick mix, milk and eggs with wire whisk or fork until blended. Pour into pie plate.
- Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Let stand 5 minutes before serving. Top each serving with additional ketchup.

THE BEST SLOPPY JOES
This is weeknight comfort food at its finest. We created a homemade sauce that is tangy and flavorful but also quick and easy. We used both ketchup and canned tomato sauce for lots of tomato-y zip and just a touch of brown sugar for a bit of sweetness and slight caramel finish. Green bell pepper is a key addition; it really enhances the other ingredients, elevating the flavor profile into the realm of a true sloppy joe.

- Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the onions and peppers and cook, stirring occasionally, until softened and starting to caramelize in some spots, 6 to 7 minutes. Add the garlic and cook, stirring, until fragrant, about 1 minute. Stir in the beef and cook, breaking up the meat with a wooden spoon or spatula, until it is browned, no longer pink in the middle and cooked through, 7 to 8 minutes.
- Stir in the tomato sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, red wine vinegar, paprika, cayenne pepper, 1 teaspoon salt and a generous amount of black pepper and simmer, stirring occasionally, until thickened and heated through, 5 to 6 minutes. Spoon the meat onto the toasted buns.

- Preheat oven to 375°. In a large skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in tomato sauce, corn, water and sloppy joe seasoning; cook over medium heat until bubbly. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes; remove from heat and set aside. , Separate biscuits; flatten each to a 3-1/2-in. circle. Place milk and cornmeal in separate shallow bowls; dip both sides into milk and then into cornmeal. Place seven biscuits around the sides and three on the bottom of an ungreased 9-in. pie plate. , Press biscuits together to form a crust, leaving a scalloped edge around rim. - Heat oven to 350°F. In large nonstick skillet, cook ground beef and onion over medium-high heat for 5 to 7 minutes or until beef is thoroughly cooked, stirring frequently. Drain.
- Add mixed vegetables and sandwich sauce; mix well. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer 5 minutes or until vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally. Spoon into ungreased 8-inch square (2-quart) glass baking dish.
- Meanwhile, cook mashed potatoes as directed on package, using hot water, milk and margarine. Let stand 5 minutes. Spoon or pipe potatoes around edges of hot beef mixture. Sprinkle paprika over potatoes.

- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Cook and stir ground beef and onion in the hot skillet until browned and crumbly, 7 to 8 minutes. Add bell pepper and garlic; cook and stir until tender, 2 to 3 more minutes.
- Add 1 cup beef broth, ketchup, mustard, brown sugar, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and cayenne pepper; bring to a simmer. Add remaining 1 cup broth and reduce heat to low. Simmer until mixture becomes very thick, 30 to 45 minutes. Taste and adjust for salt, pepper, and cayenne as needed.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Whisk egg and water together in a small bowl.

- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Begin browning the meat in a large saute pan on med-high heat. Add diced peppers after meat has been cooking for several minutes. Cook until there is no more pink in the meat. Turn heat to low and add can of sloppy joe sauce. Mix thoroughly and let it heat through. Add 1/2 cup of water and mix well. - Brown the hamburger with the onion, celery and garlic; drain fat. Add the tomato sauce, Splenda, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt and pepper. Mix well and let simmer, uncovered, about 10 minutes or so just to blend the flavors.
- Put the meat mixture in the bottom of a greased (I used ICBINB) glass pie plate; mix in about half the cheese. Spread remaining cheese over the top. Beat the eggs in a small bowl and whisk in the mayo, cream. Pour custard mixture evenly over the cheese.
