Spicy Ranch Dressing image

Steps:

  • Mince the garlic and then add 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt and mash with the edge of the knife until a paste is formed.
  • Add this to a blender with the remaining ingredients. Puree and taste to adjust seasoning.
  • Remove and place in a small bowl and refrigerate for 1 hour.

1/4 cup buttermilk
1/4 cup loose packed fresh Italian flat-leaf parsley

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 200 degrees F (95 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Melt butter in a small saucepan. Add Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, dill, parsley, chives, salt, garlic powder, and chipotle powder. Remove from heat.
  • Place wheat, rice, and corn cereal squares in a large bowl. Add nuts. Stir in the seasoned butter. Spread mixture evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven, stirring once halfway through, until toasted and fragrant, about 1 hour. Let cool before serving.

Spicy Ranch Snack Mix image

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 250 degrees F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a small bowl, stir together the buttermilk powder, dried parsley, dried chives, dried dill, dry mustard, cayenne, garlic powder and onion powder. (This is a homemade dry ranch seasoning mix which you could also treat like the packet and stir into sour cream or Greek yogurt for a quick dip!)
  • In a large bowl, combine the pretzel snaps, Cheddar bunnies, oyster crackers, sriracha peas and white Cheddar balls.
  • Melt the butter in a small skillet (or the microwave) and stir in the sriracha.
  • Drizzle the butter mixture over the snack mix and toss with the seasoning mix and Parmesan. Spread on the prepared baking sheet and bake, tossing once or twice, until everything is dry and toasted, about 25 minutes. Let cool on the baking sheet.

  • Prepare Spicy Seasoning Mix. Store in airtight container. Shake before using to blend. Makes 3 tablespoons.
  • Shape ground beef into four 3/4-inch-thick patties. Press Spicy Seasoning Mix evenly into both sides of each patty.
  • Heat large heavy nonstick skillet 5 minutes over medium heat until hot. Add patties to skillet. Cook 12 to 15 minutes to medium doneness (160 degrees) or until centers are no longer pink and juices show no pink color; turn once.
