SUBMARINE FLAVORS
This sounds absurdly simple but is wonderful, especially when really great Italian meats and cheeses are used; but it really jazzes up routine lunch meats on a sub, too. I highly recommend the addition of a good dollop of Holland House hot cherry pepper relish. It's heavenly - had it at a sub shop on Boylston Street in Boston in the 70's and dreamed about it for years. Finally discovered it at an Italian grocery in Seattle and was thrilled to discover that same fabulous flavor. Try it, you'll love it!

ITALIAN SUBS - RESTAURANT STYLE
This is a classic Italian sub sandwich with three kinds of meat and provolone cheese. The kind you get in a mom and pop pizza joint. You'll be glad you tried it!

PIZZA HUT HOT SUBMARINE SANDWICHES
From what I understand, there was a period of time that Pizza Hut sold sandwiches, besides pizza. This is supposed to be one of the sandwiches that they sold. I have made this many times and it is quite good and easy too.

CHICKEN FAJITA SUBMARINE SANDWICHES
If you're a spice lover, my fajita subs get their zip from chili, cumin and pepper jack. The good news is; they're not too hot for milder tastes. -Jen Haley, Sidney, NY

When I was in high school, I worked at a Polish Deli in Michigan and this was one of their most popular subs.

Steps:
- Slice the sausage into 1/4" rounds, on the diagonal (so as to get more surface space).
- Evenly lay out the sausage slices over bottom half of sub rolls.
- Top with desired amount of sauerkraut, if desired. In Michigan - they desire. lol.
- Squirt some mustard, your choice of flavor - over the kraut.
- If you're into horseradish, you want to schmear the top half of the bun with that.
- Cover the sandwich with the top bun; wrap in foil, and bake at 350 for about 15 minutes, until heated thru and bun is toasted.
- Sometimes people would ask for cheese to be added, so if you see yourself in that crowd, add it after the kraut.

- Fold the sliced meat in half and place them in threes on the sub bun (ham, turkey, beef) and then repeat until you've reached the end of the bun. In other words, it uses three slices of each in a pattern (ham, turkey, beef, ham, turkey, beef, etc). When you fold the sandwich closed, this gives you those nice layers you see in the picture.
