SUGAR-FREE BBQ SAUCE
This is a recipe for an amazingly delicious bbq sauce that has no sugar. It's great on ribs, chicken...on anything really!!! I had originally gotten it from a friend years ago, and have since 'tweaked' it up!

Steps:
- Heat the oil in a large saucepan over medium heat, and cook and stir until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes. Mix the beef bouillon cubes and water in a cup until the cubes are softened and beginning to dissolve, and pour the water and bouillon cubes into the saucepan. Bring to a simmer, stirring to dissolve the cubes. Mix in the tomato paste, sucralose sweetener, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, liquid smoke flavoring, salt, cider vinegar, and hot pepper sauce. Stir until the sweetener has dissolved.
- Bring the sauce to a simmer, reduce heat, and simmer until the flavors have blended, 25 to 30 minutes. Stir frequently. For best flavor, cover and refrigerate overnight. Store in refrigerator up to 1 week.

SUGAR-FREE BBQ SAUCE
Found this recipe in a magazine quite a few years ago. It is simple, yet very good. The apricot preserves add an interesting flavor. I use the kind sweetened with concentrated grape juice.

Steps:
- Sauté onion in small amount of olive oil until caramelized.
- Add other ingredients, blend well and heat through.
- Adjust heat or sweetness with more or less spices or preserves.
- May add other ingredients as desired such as smoke flavor, Worcestershire sauce or fresh ginger.
- Delicious on ribs, pork or chicken.
- Simple, yet very good!

Steps:
- Place oil in a large saucepan. Add onions and garlic. Saute over medium heat until translucent (approx 2-3 min.).
- Mix the bouillon and water until partially dissolved. Add bouillon mixture and all remaining ingredients to the saucepan. Stir well using a wire whisk.
- Simmer, uncovered, 25-30 minute to allow flavors to meld. Stir frequently.
- Refrigerate overnight in a non-metallic container. Sauce is best if prepared a day before using. Keeps well, refrigerated, for 1 week.
