Steps:

  • Mix the schnapps and cranberry juice in a shaker; pour into an ice-filled glass.
  • Muddle the jalapeno pepper, lemon and lime slices, tequila, blue curacao and simple syrup (to make a batch, dissolve sugar in equal parts hot water and chill) in the shaker. Slowly strain into the glass over the red layer. Garnish with watermelon, if desired.

1 ounce watermelon schnapps
1 big splash cranberry juice
1 very thin slice jalapeno or serrano pepper
1 slice lemon
1 slice lime
1 1/2 ounces tequila
1/4 ounce blue curacao
1/2 ounce simple syrup
Watermelon wedge, for garnish (optional)

4TH OF JULY MARTINI

This is so good and so pretty! It's bright blue and the grenadine makes a bright red layer at the bottom of the glass! Be sure to serve it in a glass martini glass to get the great effect! I served this at our 4th party and received many raves. This is my first post - hope you like it.

  • Vintage Lemonade. This classic recipe keeps this simple, but without sacrificing any flavor. Lemons, sugar, and water are all you need for this sweet and sour lemonade.
  • The Real Mojito. For a refreshing boozy drink that goes down easy, this mojito is a good choice. The recipe makes one individual drink, but you can multiply the servings to make a full pitcher.
  • The Arnold Palmer. Two summer classics — lemonade and iced tea — are combined in this flavorful drink. Use sweet tea, unsweet tea, or both to achieve the level of sweetness you desire in the finished beverage.
  • Bikini Martini. "This recipe was a hit at our barbeque. The guys all said they didn't want a girly drink but I couldn't pour these fast enough," says SAMANTHA79.
  • Best Strawberry Daiquiri. By using frozen strawberries, you can achieve that slushie-like texture that everyone loves in a daiquiri, but with less ice to dilute the flavor.
  • Lime Cola. There's no need to buy pre-flavored sodas. Here, cola is bumped up with the addition of limeade concentrate and a fresh lime wedge for a tangy and sweet drink.
  • Sunset Rum Punch. "When it's late and you're hanging around the fire pit with friends watching the sunset, this is the rum punch crowd-pleaser to pass around," says recipe creator Matt Wencl.
  • Watermelon Agua Fresca. Fresh watermelon is the base for this thirst-quenching drink. Be sure to taste your fruit before adding the full amount of sugar, you might want to adjust it based on how sweet the watermelon is.
  • White Peach Sangria. Using white wine for a lighter taste, this sangria is perfect for any summer get-together. It's full of peachy flavor thanks to the fresh fruit and a splash of peach flavored vodka.
  • Mai Tai Cocktail. A trifecta of rum, light, gold, and dark, is mixed into this tropical cocktail. Orgeat syrup — made with almonds, sugar, and rosewater — is worth seeking out for its distinct taste in this recipe.

  • Red White and Blue Layered Cocktail. This beautiful cocktail is a showstopper. It’s a tall, striped glass layered in the colors of the flag, and you won’t have to do any special tricks to get that layered effect.
  • Watermelon Sangria. A pitcher of sangria is a wonderful thing, especially when you have a party planned, but you can’t be bothered spending the day topping up your guest’s glasses.
  • Blackberry Mojito. Fresh muddled blackberries, stirred with sugar syrup, and white rum – this drink is my new favorite thing. It’s finished with bright citrus notes from freshly squeezed lime and aromatic mint leaves.
  • Strawberry Daiquiri. If you’ve made daiquiris before, you’ll love this super-easy version that takes the work out of this traditional tipple. It’s as easy as throwing frozen strawberries, white rum, simple syrup, and lime into a blender.
  • Bloody Mary. This classic cocktail made with tomato juice and vodka is an acquired taste. Tangy and spicy, it’s a savory alternative to the usual sweet drink.
  • Strawberry Margarita. Fun and flirty, margaritas are a must for any party. This one is an icy-cold frozen slushie that tastes much more innocent than it actually is.
  • Red White and Blue Moscato Sangria. Put a bottle of your favorite wine aside for this scrumptious sangria. Loaded with red strawberries, blueberries, and white wine, it’s full of patriotic pride and tasty fruits.
  • Fireworks Flair Cocktail. Fireworks are the perfect end to a great 4th, and this cocktail is the perfect end to a great party. With three different types of alcohol in the mix – vodka, brandy, and triple sec – this is a show-stopping end to a busy day.
  • Aviation Cocktail. The aviation is one of the oldest cocktails in bartending history. First enjoyed in the early 1900s, it’s a classic gin drink flavored with floral notes.
  • Mint Julep. Juleps are a bourbon-based cocktail, commonly enjoyed sitting on a porch on warm afternoons. The Southern favorite is ideal for the 4th. Especially this refreshing version, which is loaded with fresh mint leaves and maple syrup.
