  • Sprinkle pepper onto both sides of steak; press firmly into steak. Place steak in nonmetal dish or resealable plastic bag. Add steak sauce; turn steak over to evenly coat both sides. Cover dish or seal bag. Refrigerate 30 minutes to marinate.
  • Preheat grill to medium heat. Remove steak from marinade; discard marinade.
  • Grill steak 4 to 6 minutes on each side or until cooked through.

Marinated Grilled Hanger Steak image

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, combine the Dijon, garlic, rosemary, lemon juice and zest, and crushed red pepper. Schmear the steaks with this deliciousness and let them hang out in the fridge overnight or up to 2 hours in the fridge.
  • Preheat the grill. Season the steaks with salt.
  • When the grill is hot, brush and oil the grill. When the flames have dissipated place the steaks on a hot spot on the grill. Brush with the excess marinade and move the steaks out of the flame if there is a flare up. Grill the steak for 4 to 5 minutes on each side for medium rare. Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing. Serve immediately after slicing.

  • Place meat and vegetables in large bowl. Whisk remaining ingredients until blended. Add to meat and vegetables; toss to evenly coat. Refrigerate 30 min. to marinate.

  • Combine steak sauce, oil, pepper, and garlic. Place steak in plastic bag; add marinade, turning to coat. Close bag securely and marinate in refrigerator for at least 1 hour, turning once. Place steaks in the fridge and marinate for at least one hour and up to eight (I've also done overnight marinating with excellent results).
  • Remove the steaks from the fridge one hour before grilling. Heat the grill on high a few minutes to get it nice and hot. Turn it down to medium and place the steaks on.
  • For medium rare steaks that are about 3/4 of an inch thick, grill for 5 minutes without touching or flipping over. Turn the steaks over after 5 minutes and grill for an additional 5 minutes. See note.
