STRAWBERRY RHUBARB CRISP
Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- For the fruit, toss the rhubarb, strawberries, 3/4 cup of the granulated sugar and the orange zest together in a large bowl. In a measuring cup, dissolve the cornstarch in the orange juice and then mix it into the fruit. Pour the mixture into an 8-by-11-inch baking dish and place it on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper.
- For the topping, in the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, combine the flour, the remaining 1/2 cup granulated sugar, the brown sugar, salt and oatmeal. With the mixer on low speed, add the butter and mix until the dry ingredients are moist and the mixture is in crumbles. Sprinkle the topping over the fruit, covering it completely, and bake for 1 hour, until the fruit is bubbling and the topping is golden brown. Serve warm with ice cream.
STRAWBERRY-RHUBARB CRUMBLE
"I love crumbles because it's easy to change up the fruit based on what's in season. rhubarb is very tart, so I combine it with strawberries to mellow out the flavor," says Bobby.

Steps:
- Make the topping: Position a rack in the middle of the oven and preheat to 375 degrees F. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, both sugars and the lemon zest. Add the melted butter and stir until the mixture forms small and large clumps. Refrigerate 10 minutes.
- Make the filling: Toss the rhubarb, strawberries, lemon juice, granulated sugar, cornstarch and salt in a 9-inch square baking dish or 9-inch deep-dish pie plate. Let sit 10 minutes.
- Cover the fruit thickly and evenly with the topping. Place the dish on a foil-lined baking sheet. Bake until the topping is golden brown in places and the fruit is bubbling beneath, 40 to 50 minutes. Let the crumble rest at least 15 minutes. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream or Greek yogurt.
APPLE CRANBERRY RHUBARB CRISP
I often make this for a Sunday Dessert. You can vary the fruit to suit your taste. Use fresh when it's in season or frozen all year round.

FIRST PRIZE STRAWBERRY RHUBARB CRISP
I came across this recipe in a magazine, and with a few adjustments I was able to make it into a delicious crisp. It goes great with vanilla ice cream and one can also alter the recipe to make a mango raspberry crisp which is just as delightful! Optional: sprinkle the top with a handful of rolled oats and brown sugar.

APPLE RHUBARB CRISP
I love most fruit crisps. I came up with this recipe when I did not have enough of each to make a recipe. I have a recipe for cinnamon ice cream that would be fabulous with this. Have not tried that as of yet.

APPLE RHUBARB CRISP
Well, I love apple crisps and rhubarb crisp - but didn't like the strawberry. I took a few recipes I found and mixed and matched and got something that everyone loved. Hope you do as well. Apples-to-rhubarb mixture can be tweaked depending on how much you like rhubarb or how tall you want the crisp to be.

RHUBARB CRISP
I found this strawberry rhubarb crisp recipe on a box of Quaker Oats about 20 years ago. It's quick and easier to make than pie. It's versatile, too, because you can add strawberries in spring or apples in fall. I usually pop it into the oven shortly before we sit down to eat so it's still warm for dessert! -C.E. - Place all the filling ingredients in a sauce pan and bring to a boil. Immediately reduce heat to a simmer.
- Continue to simmer for approximately 1 hour. The starch should be completely dissolved and you should have a somewhat thick (almost like stew), stringy substance when done. Stir frequently.
- While the rhubarb cooks, place all the topping ingredients into a food processor and blend until well combined. It should stick together just slightly, but you should still be able to "sprinkle" it over the filling.
