So yummy! Just throw ingredients together and bake, it's that simple. This is a great dish for cold winter days to warm you up. My mother made this as I was growing up. I have no clue where she got the recipe, but it's a must have in your recipe box!!!

  • Place coated beef cubes into a slow cooker and add onion, carrots, celery, basil, tapioca, mushrooms, soy sauce, tomato soup and broth.
  • Stir well, cover and cook on low for 10 to 12 hours, or on high for 3 to 5 hours.

  • Cut meat into 1/4-in. pieces. In a 4-qt. Dutch oven, brown meat in oil; remove with a slotted spoon and set aside. , In the same pan, saute onions, green pepper, garlic and pepper flakes until vegetables are tender. Return meat to pan. Add remaining ingredients; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 3 hours or until the meat is tender.
