BACON CHEESEBURGERS

This takes a little more effort than the average cheeseburger, but is well worth it! Serve on buns with your favorite condiments.

Bacon Cheeseburgers image

Steps:

  • Preheat a grill for high heat.
  • Place bacon in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry, stirring occasionally. When the bacon is almost done, add the onion. Cook until the bacon is crisp, and the onion is tender. Remove onion and bacon from the pan with a slotted spoon, and transfer to a food processor. Pulse a couple of times to chop finely. Do not puree. Pour into a large bowl, and mix with steak sauce and ground chuck using your hands. Form into 16 patties.
  • Place patties on the grill, and cook for 5 minutes per side, or until well done. Place a slice of cheese on top of each one during the last minute.

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir beef with garlic and onion powder until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes. Drain and discard grease.
  • Spread beef onto the bottom of a 9x13-inch casserole pan. Stir in bacon pieces.
  • Whisk eggs, heavy cream, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl until well combined. Stir in 8 ounces Cheddar cheese.
  • Pour egg mixture over the beef and bacon. Top with the remaining 4 ounces cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown on top, 30 to 35 minutes.

BACON CHEESEBURGER "GARBAGE BREAD"

Garbage Bread is crazy delicious, perfect for a party or weeknight meal, and endlessly adaptable! My favorite is this Bacon Cheeseburger Garbage Bread...it's cheesy, packed with flavor, and served with classic hamburger sauce!

Bacon Cheeseburger

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425°. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  • In a large skillet over medium-low heat cook bacon until it's crisp. Remove the bacon from the pan and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, with the bacon grease increase heat to medium high. Add the onions and ground beef into the skillet and cook until the the onions are soft and the meat is cooked through. Drain the excess liquid/grease from the pan. Place the skillet back on the heat and turn the heat to low. Add bacon back into the pan and season with the steak seasoning. Add in the Velveeta and stirring continuously cook until the cheese is melted. Remove the pan from the heat.
  • Roll the pizza dough out onto the prepared baking sheet. The dough should be approximately a 15x10 rectangle. Spread the meat mixture evenly on top, leaving an inch at the edges to allow for spreading. Sprinkle the grated cheese on top of the meat. Roll up the pizza dough, starting with the long sides and pinch the crust together to seal. Bake seam side down for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown. Allow the bread to cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
  • In a small bowl whisk together the mayonnaise, ketchup, salt, and pepper.
  • Dip the sliced bread into the sauce, if desired.

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350˚F (180˚F).
  • In a circular cake pan, add half of the ground beef and season with half of the garlic powder, half of the onion powder, half of the pepper, and half of the salt. Mix to combine then press the beef into patty form.
  • Bake for 12 minutes.
  • Repeat this process for the second patty.
  • Slice off the top of the sourdough loaf and scoop out the inside.
  • Begin by laying down slices of cheese at the bottom, then add your first burger patty.
  • Layer more cheese on top of the patty and continue by adding bacon, sauteed mushrooms & onions, spinach, and tomato.
  • Add a second burger patty and repeat step 7.
  • Place the top of the loaf back on the bread and wrap in aluminum foil.
  • On a level surface, use a heavy object to press the sandwich down for at least 30 minutes.
  • Remove aluminum foil.
  • Bake for 25 minutes.
  • Slice and serve.
  • Enjoy!
