CHAI TEA FROM SCRATCH
No coffee creamer or instant tea here. Wait until you catch the aroma of this wafting through your house! Adapted from several online sources with inspiration most notably from my own spice stash, but also from the side box of Yogi tea, and chaitearecipes.com, etc. Be sure the milk or milk substitute you use is very fresh!

CHAI
Chai (rhymes with "pie") is the word for tea in some parts of the world, but in India, it's a spiced milk tea that's becoming more popular in North America. This chai recipe is just as tasty as any coffee-house chai. -Terese Block, Waukesha, Wisconsin

CHAI TEA CONCENTRATE
Convenient (and relatively inexpensive) way to have chai 'lattes' at home. The cardamom can be a bit expensive; try looking in the bulk section of a health food store. If you need to buy a jar of it, don't worry - it will make several batches!

SKINNY CHAI TEA
This recipe is from scratch and has much less calories than the commercial brands. From Kathleen Daelemans' Getting Thin and Loving Food! I have made this using soy milk and almond milk. You may also add 1 star anise and 6 allspice berries. I have also tried using different teas, such as green and herbal. If using tea bags, try about 4. Smells as good as it tastes!
