BLACK FOREST PIE

Ooh, I remember this being really good! Chocolate and cherries are the best combination. This was "the" pie for my family one year in the early 80's. No event was without one of these pies. Then we sort of lost track of the recipe, and when I recently unearthed it I just had to post it. The times listed don't include cooling and chilling.

BLACK FOREST COBBLER RECIPE - FOOD FASHION PARTY
Baking the BLACK FOREST COBBLER Preheat the oven before starting to mix up the batter. Since the batter just uses baking powder as leavening, you need to mix, and not over mix it and bake immediately. If you see some flour not mixed in, it is totally OK. The mixture first will be dry, like biscuit dough, that’s how it should be.
