BLT SALAD WITH RANCH

Steps:
- 1. Cook the bacon in a nonstick skillet over medium-low heat until golden brown. Drain on paper towel. Reserve 2 tablepsoons of the bacon fat.
- 2. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- 3. Toss bread cubes with bacon fat, thyme, salt, and pepper. Spread in a single layer on a rimmed baking sheet and bake until golden, 12-15 minutes, shaking the pan once.
- 4. Place arugula and frisée in a bowl.

- Make the dressing first to allow the flavors to meld. In a small bowl, combine 4 Tbsp mayo, 4 Tbsp sour cream, pressed garlic clove, 1/4 cup chives, 1/8 tsp black pepper and 1/4 tsp salt (or season to taste). Stir together then add 1 to 2 Tbsp milk, or add milk to desired consistency. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine lettuce, tomatoes, bacon and croutons. Just before serving, drizzle with dressing (adding it to taste) and toss to combine.

- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and line a rimmed baking sheet with foil and place a wire cooking rack on the baking sheet. Evenly space out the bacon out on the prepared pan and bake for 15-18 minutes or until the bacon is crispy and browned.
- While the bacon is baking, mix together the milk and vinegar and allow to sit for 5 minutes. Add in the sour cream, parsley, dill, garlic, basil, salt, and pepper and mix well, adding in additional milk, 1 tablespoon of milk at a time, if needed to thin.
- Wash and dry the lettuce well and then chop into bite-size pieces. Slice the tomatoes in half. Chop the cooked bacon into small pieces as well.
- Toss together the lettuce, tomatoes, bacon, and 1/2 cup of the dressing together and place in a serving dish.
