BUTTER DATES BALLS
I have got this recipe in a cookie exchange party. One of my favorite Christmas events. These no-bake cookies are amazing even if you don't fancy dates you will enjoy them. They are buttery little crunchy and easy to make.

PEANUT BUTTER DATE BALLS
These things are great! The dates add natural sweetener - no sugar added! They come from the Biggest Loser Cookbook and are probably the best recipe in there! Note: These taste great with natural peanut butter, which avoids having sugar added because of the sugar added to regular peanut butter.

PEANUT BUTTER DATE BALLS
My mom always had these cookies on our Xmas cookie trays. It is an absolute must every year! Everyone loves these! (I believe that Mom cut this recipe from a magazine but I don't know its origin.) The preparation time includes chilling time in the fridge.

Steps:
- Soften the peanut butter by microwaving for about one minute on Power Level 3.
- In a medium bowl, cream peanut butter and butter.
- Stir in icing sugar, dates and peanuts and mix well.
- Roll the peanut butter mixture into 1" balls or whatever size you like, if dough is sticky, refrigerate for 30 minutes or so before rolling.
- Place on waxed paper lined baking trays and refrigerate until firm, about 1 hour.
- Place butter and chocolate chips in microwave safe bowl and melt the chocolate at 30 second intervals until smooth (I usually do this at Power Level 6 so that it doesn't overcook).
- Dip the balls into the chocolate and place back onto the wax paper lined trays and pop into the fridge again for an hour or so.
- These freeze beautifully - I place balls into tupperware and put wax paper between the layers.
HEALTHY DATE BALLS
This is very similar to already-posted recipes, but with healthier ingredients. I experimented with my favorite no-bake cookie recipe and was delighted to find that there's almost no difference in taste!! I can't keep my hands off these! By the way, the dates I use are whole pitted dates, that I "dice" with a scissors. I'm not sure if the pre-chopped, flour coated version would work.

BUTTER BALLS
There are similar versions to this cookie, but I truly think that if you make mine like directed, you will find that these are the best. They will melt in your mouth. This has been a recipe used in my family since I was a little girl. We always made them for Christmas and weddings, but they are good anytime. The key is to use butter and make sure you grind the nuts very fine. I use my Kitchen Aid grinder attachment, but you can also use a food processor. Other versions use just chopped nuts, but I think when they are finely ground that makes the difference. Another important step is to bake them at 250 degrees for 45 minutes. Again, the other versions don't do this, but I stick with my recipe and am never disappointed. The extra time is worth it! This recipe will probably make 100 balls, depending on how large you make the cookies. The baking time listed is just an estimate. It will vary depending on how many cookies you make and how many you put on a cookie sheet. You can fit quite a bit on a cookie sheet because they really don't spread much.

Steps:
- Grind walnuts very fine. Set aside.
- Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add vanilla.
- Add flour and nuts alternately. You may have to mix by using your hands to really get it all mixed together well.
- Roll into small balls, approximately 1-inch.
- Place on cookie sheet, ungreased. You can usually fit a lot of cookies on the cookie sheet because they do not spread that much.
- Bake at 250 degrees for 45 minutes.
- Meanwhile, have a bowl of powdered sugar ready for when the cookies come out of the oven.
- When cookies are brought out of the oven, allow to cool for maybe a minute until you can pick them up without breaking them. Roll in powdered sugar and place them on wax paper. Cool.
- I also like to roll them in powdered sugar a second time when they are completely cool.
