BEARNAISE BREAD (BREAD MACHINE/ ABM)
This looks like an interesting kind of bread. I'm not interested in bearnaise sauce but I'd like to try this bread despite hating mustard. Omit the wheat gluten if using bread flour. Prep time is the dough cycle, mine's 90 minutes. Admittedly, the first thing I thought of upon seeing this recipe was "Don't get saucy with me, Bearnaise!" from History of the World Part I.

- Add the ingredients into your bread machine according to manufacturer's instructions. Process on Wheat or Medium setting, or do a dough cycle and shape into a loaf, baking on parchment paper on a cookie sheet for 30-35 minutes at 375°F.

WHOLE WHEAT BREAD WITH GINGER & CASHEWS FOR ABM
Entered for safe-keeping, from "The Best Bread Machine Cookbook Ever: Ethnic Breads" by Madge Rosenberg. Slightly nutty, slightly spicy, very healthy. Toast to bring out the nutty taste and make the kitchen smell of ginger. For sandwiches, try sliced eggs or turkey or cucumber, tomato, and sprouts. I think this is an Indian combination; please advise if a different part of Asia would be more appropriate. Makes a 1 1/2-pound loaf.

- Add all ingredients except the nuts in the order suggested by your bread machine manual. Process on the bread cycle recommended by the manual.
- At the beeper (or at the end of the first kneading in the Panasonic, Sanyo, and National brands), add the nuts.

FRUIT BREAD TWISTS
"My husband loves this fruit-filled bread, so I fix it for him often," shares Sandra Hessler of Caro, Michigan. It's easy to prepare with frozen white and wheat bread dough, yet it's lovely enough for a special occasion.

Steps:
- Cut each loaf of bread dough in half lengthwise. Roll each portion into an 18x5-in. rectangle. Brush lightly with water. Combine sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over dough. Sprinkle with fruit. Roll up each rectangle, jelly-roll style, starting with a long side. , For each loaf, twist one white and one wheat rope together, pinching ends to seal. Place on greased baking sheets. Cover with plastic wrap coated with cooking spray; let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 30 minutes. , Remove plastic wrap. Bake at 350° for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from pans to cool on wire racks. Combine glaze ingredients; drizzle over loaves.
