CHEESY GREEN BEAN MICROWAVE SIDE-DISH
Yummy green beans in a cheese sauce. I've also added mushrooms on occasion. You can use any kind and cut of green beans, but the microwave time will be a bit less for the French-style than it would for Italian style, for example.

Steps:
- Put the beans in a bowl with 2 tablespoons of water, cover with a paper towel and microwave for the amount of time suggested on the package.
- Add the cheese & pimentos.
- Microwave again for 1 or 2 minutes or until the cheese is completely melted.
- Stir and serve.

- In 2-quart saucepan or 10-inch skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add onion and garlic; cook, stirring frequently, until onion begins to brown. Remove from saucepan; cover to keep warm.
- In same saucepan or skillet, cook beans as directed on bag; drain. Stir in onion mixture; cook until thoroughly heated. Add cheese; toss gently to mix.

- While your green beans simmer, heat a small pan and toast your panko until golden brown, shaking and stirring the pan a few times to prevent burning. Once it starts to brown, remove from heat.
- Drain green beans in a colander and return to the pan. Add butter and cook on medium heat for approx. 4-5 minutes or until desired tenderness is reached. Cook them less for al dente and more for softer beans. Add the garlic towards the end and cook until fragrant and soft.
