CONTEST-WINNING PIZZA SOUP
This robust soup is a family favorite, and it's a big hit with my canasta group as well. I top each bowl with a slice of toasted bread and cheese, but you can have fun incorporating other pizza toppings such as cooked sausage. -Jackie Brossard Kitchener, Ontario

Steps:
- In a Dutch oven, bring the tomatoes, soup and water to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Mash with a potato masher. Add the pepperoni, red and green peppers, mushrooms, garlic, sage, basil, oregano, salt and pepper. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes or until vegetables are tender. , Ladle into ovenproof bowls. Top each with a slice of bread and sprinkle with cheese. Broil 4 in. from the heat until cheese is melted and bubbly.

CHEESY PIZZA SOUP
This is my favorite cool weather soup recipe. This is a Red Gold tomato recipe that gets better each time you warm it up. This is a perfect meal with breadsticks or garlic bread.

Steps:
- In a large saucepan, sauté mushrooms, onion and Italian sausage for 2 to 3 minutes or until sausage is browned.
- Add water, pizza sauce, pepperoni, RED GOLD® Petite Diced Tomatoes Mexican Fiesta and Italian seasoning.
- Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Before serving, stir in Parmesan cheese and garnish with mozzarella cheese.

- In a large saucepan, cook the beef, onion, mushrooms and green pepper over medium heat until meat is no longer pink and vegetables are almost tender; drain. - Bring four quarts of water to a boil in a large pot, add the frozen noodles, return to a boil and cook the noodles for twenty minutes. Drain well and return to pot.
- Turn the heat to medium-low. Add pasta sauce, pizza sauce, condensed tomato soup, milk, mini pepperoni, parmesan, oregano, garlic, and pepper. Bring to a simmer, stirring often.

- Heat the oil in a large thick-bottomed pot. Add the beef and fry until brown, stirring from time to time and breaking all the lumps.
- While the meat cooks, peel and halve the onions and cut the halves into fine slices. Chop the garlic and the chili very finely. Add them to the browned meat, stir well and let cook until you chop the peppers. Add them to the pot as well and keep cooking for a few more minutes.
- Sprinkle the flour and the paprika on top, stir well and cook for further 2 minutes while stirring. Add the paprika paste, stir well, then add the broth (preferably hot), tomato puree, red wine vinegar, dried herbs, sugar. Stir well and add some salt and pepper. Bring to a boil and let cook slowly for about 20 minutes.
- Add the drained corn and mushrooms and continue cooking for another 20 minutes. Adjust the taste with salt and pepper and, if necessary, with a little bit more red wine vinegar or sugar. It should taste sweet-sour. Stir in about half of the grated cheese.
