CHILI SEAFOOD SAUCE
My husband and I like to treat ourselves to a shrimp appetizer twice a month when we have company over. This sauce is wonderful with breaded jumbo butterfly shrimp. -Alyce Wyman, Pembina, North Dakota

Steps:
- In a small bowl, combine the ketchup, chili sauce, lemon juice, horseradish and pepper sauce. Cover and refrigerate until serving.

SHRIMP WITH COCKTAIL SAUCE
Steps:
- Cut the lemon in half and add it to a large pot of boiling salted water. Add the shrimp and cook, uncovered, for only 3 minutes, until the shrimp are just cooked through. Remove with a slotted spoon to a bowl of cool water. When the shrimp are cool enough to handle, peel and devein them. Keep cold until ready to serve.
- For the cocktail sauce, combine the chili sauce, ketchup, horseradish, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce. Serve with the shrimp.
HORSERADISH SAUCE
This sauce is wonderful with London Broil or Prime Rib. It is also very good with Roast Beef. We use it on beef sandwiches like a spread.

- Heat oil in a heavy medium saucepan over medium heat. Add onion and cook, stirring often, until softened, about 10 minutes. Stir in garlic and cook 1 minute more.
- Stir in vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, and plum tomatoes and let simmer and thicken 5 minutes, breaking up tomatoes with a wooden spoon or spatula.
- Remove from heat. Stir in salt, pepper, horseradish, and Tabasco, then blend until smooth with an immersion blender (or use a stand blender). Serve with smoked brisket.
