HOMEMADE DOG TREATS (TANGO'S TREATS)
My dogs--especially my puppy, Tango Foxtrot--loved carrots, apples, and peanut butter. So, for his first birthday, I combined Tango's favorite flavors into a special treat just for him. Make sure to use a natural peanut butter that does not contain added salt, sugar, or other ingredients. Keep extra treats stored in the fridge.

Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Mix carrots, oats, and apple together in a large bowl. Whisk peanut butter and eggs until thoroughly combined in a second bowl. Pour into the oat mixture and stir until thoroughly combined.
- Drop 1 1/2 tablespoonfuls of batter onto the prepared baking sheets. Flatten each treat with your hands until they are 1/2-inch thick.
- Bake in the preheated oven until treats are firm to the touch and begin to brown on the bottom, 15 to 20 minutes. Allow to cool a few minutes on the baking sheets before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.

- Place medium saucepan over low heat. Add chips. Stir until completely melted. Remove from heat. Stir in peanut butter to conbine. Add cheese and bacon. Stir well. Drop by spoonfuls onto wax paper. Let cool to set. Refrigerate.

- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, cornmeal and carb powder together. In another mixing bowl, whisk together the water, oil, egg, honey and peanut butter. Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and continue to knead until it forms a ball of dough.
- Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface until it is about 1/4″ thick. You cookie cutters to cut desired shapes. You could also cut the dough into small squares using a pizza dough cutter or butter knife.
- Lay the cookies on a well greased cookie sheet and bake for about 15 minutes. You’ll know they are done because they’ll be darker and begin to crack on the top.
