CROCK POT CHEESEBURGERS
I make these for DH and friends for Football Sunday's. They love them. They are very easy to make and everybody can help themselves and add their own condiments. Serve with chips and plenty of cold beer! They are sure to disappear! I leave the green peppers out since I hate them! This is a great recipe to take to a potluck and can easily be doubled.

Steps:
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown ground beef with green pepper, onion and black pepper until beef is cooked through.
- Drain off excess fat and transfer beef to a 3 1/2 to 5-quart crock pot.
- Add all other ingredients except Hamburger buns, Lettuce and tomato.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 5 to 7 hours.
- Serve the beef on toasted sandwich buns with an assortment of condiments.

- Brown beef in a skillet with garlic and seasonings.
- Drain and mix with Velveeta, milk and onion in slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours.
- Toast buns; spoon meat mixture on bottom bun, add garnishes and top off with top bun.

CROCK POT " CHEESEBURGERS " (SLOW COOKER)
**MODIFIED - I doubled the amount of ground beef when making this for a party. I can see why Shelby Jo said that the cheese would have been overpowering with the original recipe! It was just right with the 2 pounds.** This is actually called 'All-American Cheeseburgers' from Gooseberry Patch's "Super-Fast Slow Cooking Cookbook". I didn't want you to think that you are making actual cheeseburgers, so I changed the name for Zaar. I see no reason why you couldn't use low fat ingredients. Enjoy!

- In large skillet, brown/crumble ground beef with the green pepper, onion and garlic until meat is no longer pink. Drain.
- Place cooked drained beef mixture into Crockpot. Add all addiotional ingredients (EXCEPT buns and lettuce).
- Cover and cook on low for at least six hours, stirring once halfway through.
- Stir again just before serving.
- Serve by spooning onto buns/rolls with optional lettuce leaves.
- If mixture gets too dry while being kept warm, add more ketchup or milk.

- In a large skillet, cook beef and onion over medium-high heat until beef is no longer pink and onion is tender, 6-8 minutes, breaking up beef; drain. Transfer to a greased 1-1/2- or 3-qt. slow cooker. Stir in the cream cheese, 1-1/2 cups cheddar cheese, Worcestershire, mustard, salt and pepper.
