Crock Pot Herbed Round Steak Recipes

Steps:

• Combine all ingredients in crock pot.
• Cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 5-6 hours.
• Goes well with mashed potatoes (makes a wonderful gravy!).

Steps:

• Place the flour in a shallow bowl, and mix with salt and black pepper. Sprinkle beef with more salt and black pepper. Press the beef cubes into the seasoned flour, and tap off the excess flour.
• Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat, and cook the beef cubes until browned on all sides, working in batches. Place the browned beef into a slow cooker. Place the mushrooms, onion, and carrot in the skillet with the last batch of meat; place in the slow cooker. Pour about 1 cup of beef broth into the skillet, and stir to dissolve any brown bits left in the bottom of the skillet. Pour into the slow cooker.
• In a saucepan over medium heat, whisk the remaining beef broth with the dry gravy mix until smooth. Bring the gravy to a boil, reduce heat to medium low, and simmer until thickened, about 2 minutes. Stir the gravy into the stew. Mix in the potato, frozen peas, corn, lima beans, and green beans. If you prefer a thicker gravy, mix in the cream of mushroom soup.
• Place the lid on the cooker, set to low heat, and cook until the beef is very tender, about 4 hours. You can cook the stew up to 8 hours if necessary.

• In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the flour, salt and pepper. Add beef, a few pieces at a time, and shake to coat. In a large skillet, brown meat on both sides in 4 teaspoons oil. Place in a 5-qt. slow cooker., In the same skillet, saute onion in remaining oil until lightly browned; place over beef. Combine the soup, oregano and thyme; pour over onion. Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours or until meat is tender.

• Meanwhile, place onion slices, green peas and mushrooms.in bottom of crock pot.
• Remove beef from skillet and place in crock pot on top of veggies.
• De-glaze pan with white wine,scrapping up meat bits.
• Add soup mixture to skillet and whisk to blend well; pour over meat in crock pot.
• Place speared bay leaf into mixture.
• Cover; cook on LOW setting for 8 hours.
• REMOVE bay leaf and toothpick.
• Serve over cooked noodles and sprinkle with parsley.

• Fold round steaks into mixture until all meat is covered with soup mix.
• Cook on low heat 7-9 hours or high heat for 3-4 1/2 hours.
• Serve hot and enjoy!

• In a skillet brown meat in hot oil.
• Slice onion and place in bottom of 4 quart crock pot.
• Place browned meat atop onion.
• In a bowl combine remaining ingredients; pour over meat.
• Cook on high heat setting for 5 hours.
• Serve over rice with steamed broccoli side dish.

Steps:

• Sprinkle pepper on all sides of beef.
• Heat oil in a wide nonstick frying pan over medium-high heat; add beef and brown well on all sides.
• Meanwhile, in a 3-quart or larger electric slow cooker, combine onion, carrot, garlic, and herb seasoning.
• In a small bowl, mix tomato sauce, Worcestershire, and wine; set aside.
• Place beef on top of onion mixture.
• Pour tomato sauce mixture over beef. Cover and cook at low setting until beef is very tender when pierced (8 to 10 hours).
• Lift beef to a warm platter and keep warm.
• Skim and discard fat from sauce, if necessary.
• To serve, slice beef across the grain. Spoon some of thw sauce over meat; garnish with parsley.
• Serve remaining sauce separately.
