CROCK POT CHICKEN
I found this recipe on the internet -- I don't remember where. It's very tasty and easy to throw together on a busy day. I don't even bother to heat up the sauce -- I just make sure it is all mixed up very well and pour over the chicken in the crock pot.

- Rinse chicken breasts and pat dry; place in crock pot.
- In a saucepan, combine remaining ingredients and heat until smooth and hot.
- Pour over chicken breasts.
- Cover and cook on LOW setting for 8 to 10 hours.

- Mix salt, paprika, cayenne pepper, onion powder, thyme, white pepper, garlic powder, and black pepper together in a small bowl.
- Rub seasoning mixture over the entire chicken to evenly season. Put rubbed chicken into a large resealable plastic bag; refrigerate 8 hours to overnight.
- Remove chicken from bag and cook in slow cooker on Low until no longer pink at the bone and the juices run clear, 4 to 8 hours. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the thigh, near the bone should read 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).

- Mix the jam and chili sauce together till blended.
- Place the frozen chicken in the crock pot.
- Sprinkle the dry onion soup over the chicken pieces, lifting the pieces so some of the dry mix gets on all of the chicken.
- Pour in the sauce mixture and spread around on chicken.
- Cover the crock pot and set on high for up to 7 hours.
