BAKED LIVER DOG TRAINING TREATS
Just plain dried liver. I use rabbit liver because that's what we have but you could use beef, pork, or lamb. I'm not sure chicken would work because it's softer.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 200. Line cookie sheet with parchment paper (easier) or spray with Pam.
- Boil water.
- Cut liver into approx 1x2x1/2 inch thick pieces. Kitchen shears work well.
- Drop liver into boiling water for a few minutes.
- Remove and place on cookie sheet with about 1/2-1 inch between the pieces.
- Bake for one hour.
- Rotate pan and bake for another hour.
- Remove parchment paper to wire rack and cool.
- Store in refrigerator or freeze.
- Break into smaller pieces for treats.

DRIED LIVER TREATS
Your dog is going to love these. Probably your cat, too It will keep all day while you carry it around in your pocket. When the liver is dried it can be stored in the fridge for about a week or in the freezer for about 3 months (in a sealed container).

Steps:
- Rinse liver in cool water.
- Fill a large pot with water and bring to a boil.
- Add liver to boiling water.
- Simmer for 1/2 to 3/4 hours until well done.
- Allow liver to cool.
- Cut liver into 1/2 inch cubes.
- Spread on a foil lined cookie sheet.
- Bake at 250 F for a minimum of 2 hours.
- Liver is done when dry to touch and has shrunk to approximately 1/4 inch cubes.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 325°F.
- Place dry ingredients in large bowl. Make a well in the center.
- Blend egg, oil, vanilla and banana together. Add into the dry ingredients in well. Start combining together.
- Add water, one teaspoon at a time as needed.
- Knead by hand on table until mixed thoroughly. Form into logs approximately 2 - 2 1/2 inches high. Flatten so that log is 6 - 7 inches wide by 1 inch high.
- Place on non-stick baking sheets or lightly greased ones.
- Bake 30 - 40 minutes. Remove and cool for 10 minutes. Slice into 1/2 - 3/4 inch slices.
- Place on baking sheets and bake for about 20 minutes or until golden brown. Cool. Store in airtight container.
