Super Easy Mexican Sour Cream Dip image

Steps:

1. Mix the ingredients together except for the Chips
2. Use Chips for Dipping

Ingredients

16 oz sour cream (reduced fat is fine)
1 tsp dried dill
2 tsp dried parsley
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp kosher salt
1/2 c herdez red salsa
1/2 c mexican cheese shredded
1 bag(s) tortilla chips or fritos

EASY MEXICAN SOUR CREAM DIP

I used fresh cilantro instead of parsley, and if they were in season I would have added a lot more fresh herbs. Really an easy dip to make in a few minutes with ingredients you have on hand for last minute guests. Recipe courtesy of wearychef.com.

This recipe was given to me by my sister-in-law and always goes fast! Cream cheese at the base of the dip makes it extra thick and scoopable. Seasoned beef and vegetables make it extra filling and tasty! You may want to prepare two batches. Serve with tortilla chips and enjoy.

Steps:

Crumble ground beef in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown. Drain, mix in the taco sauce and set aside.
In a large bowl, mix the sour cream, cream cheese and taco seasoning mix. Spread the mixture into a medium serving dish.
Layer the sour cream mixture with beef mixture, Cheddar cheese and lettuce. Top with tomato, green onions and black olives.

Best Ever Layered Mexican Dip image

Steps:

In a clear pie pan, or similar dish, spread a layer of bean dip. Top the bean dip with a layer of guacamole. Allow the layers to thicken in the refrigerator for approximately 20 minutes.
In a mixing bowl, while the bean dip and guacamole chill, combine the sour cream and taco seasoning. When the chilled mixture is sufficiently thickened, spread a layer of the sour cream mixture over the layer of guacamole. Top the sour cream layer with the grated cheese. Garnish the layers with the jalapenos and tomatoes.

Let sit in fridge at least 1 hour before serving (60 minutes).

You can add a layer of refried beans down first if desired. Serve with corn chips. For a gluten free dip ensure the seasoning mix is gluten free or you can make your own using "Recipe#96014". If you like some extra heat use some cayenne pepper with the taco seasoning mix

Steps:

Mix the sour cream and the taco seasoning mix together in a small mixing bowl.
Pour the cream into a shallow serving dish.
Mash the avocado with a little lemon juice and layer it gentley over the sour cream layer.
Top with some shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes and grated cheese. The measurements given were estimates as I just make the dish to taste. Just use a light layer of the toppings.
As a variation you can use a layer of mashed refreid beans spread over the dish before the layer of seasoned sour cream.
refrigerate until required and serve with plenty of corn chips.
