FRUITED LEMON GELATIN SALAD

Fruited Lemon Gelatin Salad image

Steps:

Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Stir in soda. Chill until partially set. , Drain pineapple, reserving juice; set pineapple aside. Add water to pineapple juice, if necessary, to measure 1 cup; set aside. Stir the pineapple, oranges and grapes into gelatin. Pour into a greased 13-in. x 9-in. dish. Chill until firm. , Meanwhile, in a large saucepan over medium heat, combine the egg, sugar, flour, butter and reserved pineapple juice. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Cool completely. Fold in whipped cream. Spread over gelatin. Chill until firm. Cut into squares; serve on lettuce if desired.

1 cup heavy whipping cream, whipped

Lime, Pineapple and Carrot Salad image

Steps:

Pour boiling water on gelatin in medium bowl; stir until gelatin is dissolved. Stir in cold water and pineapple. Refrigerate about 45 minutes or until thickened but not set.
Lightly brush six 1/2-cup salad molds with vegetable oil. Stir carrot into thickened gelatin; pour into molds. Refrigerate about 4 hours or until firm.
To unmold salads, dip molds into hot water for 10 seconds. Place salad plate upside down onto each mold; turn plate and mold over, then remove mold. Top salads with mayonnaise.

Steps:

In a saucepan, bring the applesauce to a boil; remove from the heat., Stir in gelatin until dissolved. Slowly add ginger ale and pineapple. Pour into a 2-qt. serving bowl. Chill until set. Garnish with apples and mint if desired.

Grandma's Gelatin Fruit Salad image

Steps:

In a large bowl, combine 1 cup water and lemon gelatin. Add 1 cup ice cubes, stirring until melted. Stir in pineapple. Pour into a 13x9-in. dish coated with cooking spray; refrigerate until set but not firm., Repeat with the orange gelatin, remaining water and ice. Stir in marshmallows. Pour over lemon layer; refrigerate until firm. , Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, combine sugar and cornstarch. Stir in reserved pineapple juice until smooth. Cook and stir over medium-high heat until thickened and bubbly. Reduce heat; cook and stir 2 minutes longer. Remove from the heat., Stir a small amount of hot filling into egg; return all to the pan, stirring constantly. Bring to a gentle boil; cook and stir 2 minutes longer. Remove from the heat; stir in butter. Cool to room temperature without stirring. Refrigerate for 1 hour or until chilled., Arrange bananas over gelatin. Stir whipped topping into dressing. Spread over bananas. Sprinkle with cheese.
