Steps:

  • CLEAN STARWBERRIES AND TAKE OF GREEN TOPS. PUT IN FOOD PROCEESSOR UNTIL AMOST PRUREED. POUR INTO LARGE SAUCE PAN
  • ADD SUGAR STIR UNTIL SUGAR IS DESOLVED AND THEN ADD 1 BOX PECTIN STIR TIL DESOLVED THEN ADD 2 BOX OF PECTIN STIR TIL DESOLVED LET COME TO BOIL, PLACE ON MED HEAT. IT WILL COME TO A BOIL AGAIN.
  • I LET SIMMER ABOUT 25-30 MINS TIL THICKENS. THEN LADEL INTO 1/2 PINT JELLY JARS.
  • PLACE SELAS ON AND RINGLEST ON TIGHTLY SET ASIDE LISTEN 4 THEM TO POP. MAKES 4 JARS STARWBERRY JAM.

- tongs,jars ect.. boil everything 10mins
- 2 boxes pectin
- about 1 qrt fresh srawberries
- 5 cups sugar

  • BOIL ALL UTENSILS AND JARS ECT[TONGS] IN LARGE POT
  • PUT RED RASPBERRIES IN FOOD PROCESSOR AND PUREE. POUR INTO LARGE SAUCE PAN
  • ADD SUGAR KEEP STIRRING TIL SUGAR STARTS TO DESOLVE. ADD PECTIN AND STIR TIL DESOLVED. [WITH FRUIT IT DOSEN'T ALWAYS NEED ANOTHER BOX OF PECTIN]
  • COME TO ALMOST A BOIL TURN DOWN ON SIMMER. FOR ME MY FRUIT JAMS THICKEN FASTER. STIR TIL THICK AND READY TO POUR INTO JARS
  • IT MADE 3 FULL AND ONE ALMOST FULL 1/2 PINT BALL JARS. I'M ALREADY HEARING THEM POP IN THERE. GREAT!!!
  • HOPE U LIKE THIS AS THEY R EASY TO MAKE. DON'T B AFFRAID TO TRY IT. U CAN DO IT

- 1 box pectin
- 31/2 cups sugar
- 1/2 pint red raspberries

  • IN LARGE PAN BOILE EVERYTHING UR GOIN TO USE. WASH BLACKBERRIES. THEN PLACE IN FOODPROCESSOR AND PURREE. THEN POUR INTO LRG SAUSE PAN. ADD 6 CUPS OF SUGAR. 1 1/2 BOX PECTIN. I NOTICED THAT SUREFINE IS A LIL LARGER AND SOME BOXES R A LIL SMALLER. USE THE LARGER POUCHES.
  • STIR UNTIL EVERYTHING IS BLENDED WELL. LET COME TO A BOIL AND TURN DOWN THEN ON MED HEAT STIR TIL THICKENS. I ACTUALLY HAD ENOUGH FOR 6 OR 7 JELLY JARS I HAD MY FRIEND BRING A COUPLE JARS OVER THEN SHE TOOK THEM HOME IN MY PAN AND IT THICKENED RITE AWAY AND SHE SAID SHE USED UP ALL HER JELLY JARS.
  • GET UR JARS READY. TAKE LADEL AND FUNNEL AND POUR INTO EACH JELLY JARS. THEN PLACE SEALS ON AND RINGLIDS TIGHTLY.
  • HOPE U LIKE THIS. I THINK ITS SIMPLE. I HAVEN'T CANNED IN A WHILE BUT I HAD A MASTER TO CALL ON[MARY LOL]. SO I'VE 2 LEFT. I WILL GET ANOTHER CASE OF JELLY JARS AND MAKE MORE. BUT NEXT IS SOURKROUT. SOMETHING EASY LOL HOPE U LIKE THIS

Treat yourself to some homemade blueberry jam, the ideal accompaniment to toast, fruit scones or dolloped onto natural yogurt at breakfast time

Steps:

  • Put a plate in the freezer for you to test your jam is set later. Sterilise two 500ml jam jars so they are ready to use.
  • Put the blueberries, sugar, vanilla and lemon in a large heavy-based saucepan over a medium heat. Crush the blueberries a little with a potato masher. Bring to the boil, then reduce to a simmer and cook for 30 mins. Skim off any skum that has formed on the top with a spoon and discard.
  • Test the jam is set by spooning a mound on to your cooled plate. Put in to the fridge for 3 mins. If the jam forms a skin and ripples when you push it with your finger, it's ready. If not, return to the heat for 5 more mins then repeat the test. Do this until you reach setting point.
  • Leave the jam to sit for 10 mins off the heat. Ladle into your warm, sterilised jars and seal the lids on top. Leave to cool completely. Will keep for six months unopened in a cool, dry place, or two weeks once opened in the fridge.

Steps:

  • Rinse five 1-cup plastic or freezer-safe containers and lids with boiling water. Dry thoroughly. Mash blueberries; transfer to a Dutch oven. Add lemon juice; stir in pectin. Bring to a full rolling boil over high heat, stirring constantly., Stir in sugar; return to a full rolling boil. Boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from the heat; skim off foam. Ladle into containers and cool to room temperature, about 1 hour. , Cover and let stand overnight or until set, but not longer than 24 hours. Refrigerate for up to 3 weeks or freeze for up to 12 months.
