Steps:
- In a small bowl mix the taco seasoning with the refried beans.
- Spread the bean mixture evenly on an 11 inch plate getting close to the edge.
- Carefully spread ¾ cup of the sour cream over the bean mixture.
- Add the salsa very gently over the sour cream. If your salsa is really runny, drain off some of the liquid first.
- Apply the guacamole mixture over the salsa. I put dollops of guacamole all over and then carefully spread them together so that the salsa doesn't come through.
- Around the edge spread the grated cheese.
- Top the cheese with sliced olives, diced tomatoes, and sliced green onions.
- With the remaining ¼ cup of sour cream, put it into a sandwich bag and clip off the corner. Squeeze the sour cream into a web pattern over the guacamole.
- Top with plastic spiders.

Steps:
- Start with a very large round serving dish. Spread the beans to make a level circle, leaving about a 1 1/2 inch clear outer margin.
- Spread a thin layer of plain, unsweetened yogurt on top of the beans. (Hint: Plain, unsweetened yogurt tastes so much better than sour cream on many Mexican style dishes, and of course is healthier. Stir it well before using.)
- Make the guacamole. Juice 1 lime into a large non-metal bowl. Add peeled & pitted avacados. The lime juice will help keep them from turning brown (oxidizing.) Mash up and add seasonings, salt & pepper to taste. Heap the guacamole on top of the yogurt layer & smooth out.
- Around the empty ring at the edge, add shredded cabbage or lettuce, shredded cheese, tomato, green onion & chopped black olive.
- *Read step 7 first! Fill a ziplock bag with about 1/2 cup plain yogurt (or sour cream), cut the tip off one end, and then use it to draw the spider web. Make 4 concentric circles (inside each other) on top of the guacamole. Put the yogurt down, take a spatula or knife, and draw lines, starting from the center outward, like spokes on a wheel. It will pull the yogurt with it, giving it a draped spider web look.
- Make a spider out of black olives for the center. Use one for the body, and cut another lengthwise to make 8 legs.
- If you are going to be storing before serving, you may spread a little extra lime juice over the top of the guacamole, before drawing the spider web on.
TACO DIP PLATTER
To make this zesty appetizer, you simply layer beans, salsa, cheese and other taco-like ingredients onto a platter, reveals Marieann Johansen of Desert Hot Springs, California "I like to call it a 'walking dip', because you can scoop some on a plate with a few tortilla chips, then take it with you as you stroll around and talk with guests," she shares.-Marieann Johansen, Desert Hot Springs, California

- Choose your dish. I used a 9.25-inch pie plate made for deep dish pies! You could also use a square or round baking dish, a large platter, or a bowl. You decide!
- Layer 1: Blend cream cheese, 1 cup sour cream and 1 package taco seasoning until smooth. Spread in bottom of pie plate.
- Layer 2: Meat or Beans. Brown your ground beef in a medium skillet over high heat until all the pink is out. Drain meat and add 1 package taco seasoning (no water needed). Spread meat over the first layer. If you prefer, use a can of refried beans instead of meat.
