Hawaiian Hot Dog Surprise Recipes

Steps:

• Cut all fruit and vegetables into large pieces and lightly grill with salt and pepper.
• Cut grilled items into 1/2 inch cubes and add to a large bowl.
• Mix all ingredients in Hawaiian Salsa recipe in a bowl.
• Toast KING'S HAWAIIAN Hot Dog Buns and set aside.
• Grill hot dogs and build with salsa topping last.

Steps:

• Place hot dog pieces, pineapple, brown sugar, white sugar and baked beans into a slow cooker. Cook on high for 15 minutes, turn down to low, and let simmer for another 15 minutes, or until ready to serve. This dish can be kept on low all day.

• In a saute pan on medium heat, heat the olive oil and crushed red pepper flakes. When the oil is hot, add the garlic and cook until it turns golden brown, but be careful not to burn it. Add the baby spinach and toss once. Deglaze the pan with white wine and turn off the heat. The spinach should be slightly wilted.
• Add this mixture on top of your Maui dogs and add extra-sharp provolone on top of the spinach, to desired taste.

• Slit each hotdog almost in half lengthwise, leaving it in still one piece but opened up like a book.

• Of late, I have been partially cooking the bacon ahead of time and then wrapping it around the filled hotdog. If you do it that way, you can always place the filled tubes of joy in a covered baking dish and put them in the over @ 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes.

• Spray cooking spray in a small skillet.
• Let heat until water that is sprinkled on sizzles.
• Add cut up hot dog.
• They should be bite size.
• Probably cut in half and then 1/2 inch pieces across.
• While moving the hot dog bites around add the salt, pepper, cilantro and Old Bay.
• After 10 seconds of mixing add the Worcestershire Sauce.
• Mix until the sauce is combined with the hot dogs.
• Then turn off heat and remove from skillet.
• Eat with the mustard as a dip.
