CLASSIC HOT CRAB DIP FOR A CROWD RECIPE BY TASTY
Here's what you need: unsalted butter, yellow onion, garlic, kosher salt, jumbo lump crabmeat, cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, old bay seasoning, lemon juice, shredded cheddar cheese, fresh chives, carrot stick, celery stick, cracker, crostini

Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 325˚F (160˚C).
- Melt the butter in a medium pan over medium-low heat. Add the onion, garlic, and salt. Cook for 12-15 minutes, until the onions are caramelized. Remove from heat and transfer to a small bowl to cool completely.
- Using a fine-mesh strainer, drain crab meat over a bowl.
- In a medium bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, Worcestershire, hot sauce, Old Bay, and lemon juice. Using an electric mixer, beat together until well combined. With a flexible spatula, fold in the onion mixture, ¾ cup (75 grams) cheddar cheese, and the crab meat.
- Transfer the dip to a 1-quart baking dish. Top evenly with the remaining cheddar cheese.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the mixture is just beginning to bubble around the edges and the cheese is melted.
- Heat the broiler to low. Broil dip for 3 minutes, until the whole surface is bubbling and browned. Remove the dip from the oven. Let cool for at least 15 minutes, until set.
- Garnish the dip with Old Bay and chives. Serve with carrot sticks, celery sticks, crackers, and crostini.

AWESOME CHEESY HOT CRAB DIP
I got this recipe from a Southern Living Magazine a couple of years ago. It was an instant favorite, and I get so many requests for the recipe that I figured I would make it easy on myself and just post it. I usually use more Old Bay, Tabasco, and scallions than it says, cause I like a little extra kick. It really is AWESOME, especially with crusty french bread.

Steps:
- Blend cream cheese and mayo until creamy.
- Add lemon juice, Tabasco, and scallions; mix.
- Add old bay, salt, pepper and crab meat; mix.
- Put in baking dish and top with parmesan cheese.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes, until cheese starts to brown.
- Can be refrigerated up to 24 hours before cooking.
WARM CRAB DIP
Maryland's Chesapeake Bay is known for crabs, and they're a big favorite of ours. When fresh crabmeat is available, we'll use it in this dip, but canned works just as well. This appetizer is nice for any holiday or gathering.

LINDA'S DELICIOUS HOT CRAB DIP
One of my mother-in-law's friends brought this delicious dip to a party and I had to have the recipe. Please only use full fat ingredients in this and real crabmeat. If you are lucky enough to have some fresh cooked crab meat, then you may certainly use that in place of canned-just don't use the "fake crab" as a substitute as it just won't taste the same. The size of the can is the same as a regular tuna fish can-I will update the exact size next time I make this. Note:The leftover dip is also great as a sandwich spread on a lightly toasted bagel with lettuce & tomato.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Drain off any crab juices and flake the crab meat in a bowl-the crab meat should be broken up into fine pieces.
- Add sour cream,mayo, and cheese to the crab and mix together well.
- Pour into an ovenproof round deep baking dish (approx 1 quart size), lid off, and bake until bubbly and very lightly browned on top, approximately 30 minutes.
- Serve warm with potato chips.
