INDONESIAN MARBLED HARD BOILED EGGS OR TELUR PINDANG
Impress your friends with these beautiful spiced hard boiled eggs! Feel free to change or substitute ingredients depending on what is available, and on desired intensity of color. With food coloring this should work as well, but I did not try it!

Steps:
- Wash your eggs!
- Combine all ingredients (without black tea bags) in a saucepan.
- Bring slowly to a boil with enogh water to cover them.
- After 10 minutes lift the eggs out and place in cold water.
- When eggs are cool enough to handle, gently crack the shells with the back of a spoon until the entire shell is a network of cracks, do not peel!
- Return eggs in the pot; add teabags.
- Continue to boil until almost all the water has evaporated and eggs are dark brown. This step takes about 2-3 hours. Stir occasionally during cooking time!
- Peel eggs and, if possible, serve with Indonesian dishes.
HARD BOILED EGGS WITH MUSTARD SAUCE
Really easy way to have hard boiled eggs in a different way. Left over Easter eggs can be used in this way. My mother used to do it and I now do the same for my son's family.

- Hard boil the eggs.
- Let cool or run under water to cool then peel.
- Add eggs and soy sauce and liquid smoke together in shallow container. Cover and refrigerate.
- Rotate eggs occasionally till all sides brown.

PERFECT HARD BOILED EGGS
This is how I make hard boiled eggs. This will help not to get a gray egg yolk. You may have a bit of gray around the edges, but your yolks will turn out yellow and creamy.

Steps:
- Put room temp eggs into a pot with water, 1 inch over eggs for water.
- Boil eggs at medium high till you see the bubbles.
- Once you see bubbles set a timer for 5 minutes.
- Take off burner, put top on pot and leave for 10 minutes.
- Run cold water over eggs.
- DONE.

- Pour 1 cup of liquid in the inner pot of instant pot. Place the trivet in there. Carefully arrange 10 eggs on the trivet. Close the lid. Turn the pressure release valve to seal. Press pressure cooker then high pressure and set timer to 3 minutes for soft-boiled eggs and 5 minutes for hard-boiled eggs. Release pressure immediately when it's done cooking. Carefully remove the eggs and peel when they are cool enough to handle
- Place eggs in a large pot (with a lid) and pour water in to cover the eggs. Bring the water to a boil. Cover with the lid. Turn off the heat and remove from the heat source. Let them sit for 7 minutes and then peel when they are cool enough to handle
- I made half with marbled telur pindang and half the regular telur pindang. If you want to make a marbled pattern on the eggs, do not peel the shells. Instead gently create cracks all over the shells with the back of the spoon
