ITALIAN SALAD

Making up different salad dressings is a hobby of mine. The dressing and the extra ingredients makes this so delicious.-Regina Bianchi, Bessemer, Pennsylvania

Italian Salad image

Steps:

  • In a bowl, whisk the first seven ingredients; set aside. In a large bowl, combine the lettuce, onions, celery, mozzarella cheese, olives and tomato. Just before serving, add the dressing and toss. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

2 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

CHEESY ITALIAN HOUSE SALAD WITH PARMESAN DRESSING

This salad is rich and very filling and should be served as a main meal. The dressing makes about 1-1/2 cups but can easily be doubled. Plan ahead the dressing needs to chill for a couple of hours before using, prep time includes chilling time for the dressing. Feel free to add in other ingredients to the salad.
