KARO PECAN PIE
A delicious pecan pie that comes out every time. The chopped pecans gives this pie a special texture. You'll love it.

Steps:
- Beat eggs, add sugar and karo and beat until well mixed.
- Add butter, salt, vanilla and pecans.
- Pour into unbaked pie crust.
- Arrange whole pecan halves on top of pie.
- Bake for 45 minutes in oven that has been preheated to 300 degrees.

BEST SOUTHERN PECAN PIE -- DIFFERENT
Same flavor, but not the ooey-gooeyness. Uses brown sugar instead of karo syrup. I checked Zaar and couldn't find the same recipe. The USA southeast area has used this recipe for years. It is a Blue Ribbon WINNER! I would not go back to the syrup recipe. This makes 2 pies using a regular size pie shell and freezes well if you want to freeze one. Butter is best, but you can use margarine. (It is important to use the cornmeal in this recipe.) I prefer my pecans in broken pieces because the slices will cut better. Easy to make and easy to travel to a potluck. You'll be glad you tried this delightful pie!!

- Melt butter and mix (by hand) with sugar, corn meal, water, vanilla and eggs. Add pecan pieces.
- Pour into unbaked pie shells.

- Pour into pastry shell.
- Bake in 350 degree oven 50-55 minutes or until knife inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean.

KARO CLASSIC PECAN PIE
Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In a mixing bowl, mix corn syrup, eggs, sugar, butter, and vanilla using a spoon. Stir in pecans. Pour filling into pie crust.
- Bake on center rack of oven until center reaches 200°F and springs back when tapped lightly, about 55 to 70 minutes.

HONEY PECAN PIE
I had never had this until recently. I had always made my pecan pies with Karo Syrup; however, this is a different recipe I found using honey instead of Karo and it gives this pie a decidedly different taste than the one I'm used to making.

Steps:
- In a medium bowl, combine the honey, sugar and eggs. Beat well.
- Add the vanilla extract and melted butter and mix well.
- Slowly, by hand, stir in the pecans.
- Pour into the unbaked pie shell and bake at 350 degrees for 50-55 minutes.
- Filling will be firmer around the edges, but softer in the middle.
- If your crust starts to get too brown, cover the edges with foil to prevent them from burning (or use one of those cute pie crust ring things if you have one, because they work really well).
- Allow to cool completely before slicing.
PUMPKIN PECAN PIE
This wonderful pie was loved by my DH (who hates slimey pecan pie) and my Uncle who hates smushy pumpkin pie! It was a big hit from the Karo syrup website.

- Prepare pumpkin filling.
- Spread evenly in the bottom of prepared pie crust.
- Beat eggs lightly.
- Stir in corn syrup, sugar, margarine, and vanilla until well blended.
- Stir in pecans.
- Carefully spoon over pumpkin filling.
- Bake 50-60 minutes in a preheated 350 oven.
- Cool on wire rack.
