Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (160 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch pan.
  • To make crust: In a large mixing bowl, beat together the butter, 2 cups of the flour, and confectioners' sugar until fluffy. Scrape mixture into the pan and smooth. Bake 15 minutes.
  • In a medium bowl, beat the eggs and sugar. Grate the rind of the lemon and add the rind, along with 6 tablespoons of lemon juice, to the egg mixture. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of flour and the baking powder over the mixture. Fold in the nuts and mix until well blended. Pour the lemon mixture into the crust.
  • Bake for another 35 minutes, until filling is set. Let cool before cutting.

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Process 2 cups flour, butter, and 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar in a food processor until mixture resembles coarse crumbs; press into the prepared baking dish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until the edges of the crust are golden brown, 18 to 22 minutes. Cool crust to room temperature.
  • Beat white sugar, eggs, 1/4 cup flour, lemon juice, baking powder, and lemon zest together in a bowl using an electric mixer until light and fluffy; pour onto the cooled crust.

Steps:

  • Set up grill for indirect cooking over medium heat. (No heat source under cookies). Spray 9 by 13-inch foil pan with cooking spray and set aside.
  • For lemon layer:
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat with an electric mixer on low speed the cake mix, butter, and egg until well combined and smooth. Press cake mixture evenly into prepared pan; set aside.
  • For top layer:
  • In a medium mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, and lemon or lime gelatin on medium speed until creamy. Add eggs and beat until smooth.
  • Spread cream cheese mixture over cake layer. Place foil pan in a second foil pan for stability and insulation. Place on hot grill away from heat. Cover and bake 40 to 50 minutes. Rotate pan halfway through baking. Remove from grill and cool completely before cutting into squares.
  • Indoor:
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Spray 9 by 13-inch baking pan lightly with cooking spray; set aside. Prepare cake layers as directed above. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until cake barely start to pull away from sides. Cool completely before cutting into squares.

  • For the crust: Lightly brush a 9- by 13-inch baking pan with butter. Beat the butter and granulated sugar with an electric mixer in a large bowl until light and fluffy, about 4 minutes. Whisk the flour, cornstarch and salt together in a medium bowl. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the butter and mix just until combined. Evenly press the dough into the prepared pan. Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour.
  • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Pierce the dough all over with a fork. Bake until golden, about 30 minutes. Cool.
  • For the filling: Whisk the sweetened condensed milk, granulated sugar, flour, salt, eggs and yolks in a large bowl until thick and light. Lightly whisk in the citrus juices. Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350º.
  • Lightly grease an 9x9" square baking dish with butter.
  • For the base, process the flour and confectioners sugar in a food processor for several seconds.
  • Add the butter and process until the dough comes together, 20-30 seconds.
  • Press the dough gently and evenly over the bottom of the prepared pan.
  • Glaze it with the egg white: Pour the egg white on the dough and tip the pan from side to side so that the egg white spreads over the surface. Pour out the excess.
  • Bake the base on the center oven rack until golden, about 20-25 minutes.
  • Place the base in the refrigerator for 15 minutes to cool completely. Keep the oven on.
  • Meanwhile prepare the topping: Gently whisk the eggs in a medium-size bowl until lightly mixed.
  • Add the remaining topping ingredients and continue to whisk gently until they are blended.
  • Pour the topping evenly over the base. .

Steps:

  • Make the crust: Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Line bottom and sides of an 8-inch square baking pan with aluminum foil, leaving an overhang on all sides. Crimp overhang under rim of pan.
  • In a food processor, blend graham crackers with sugar until finely ground; add butter and pulse until moistened.
  • Transfer crumb mixture to prepared pan, and pat in gently (wipe processor bowl clean, and reserve for making filling). Bake until beginning to brown, 10 to 12 minutes. While crust is baking, make filling.
  • Make the filling: Place cream cheese in food processor; blend until smooth. Add sugar, eggs, lemon zest, and lemon juice; blend until smooth.
  • Pour mixture onto hot crust in pan; smooth top. Return to oven, and bake until set (filling should jiggle only slightly when pan is gently shaken), 30 to 35 minutes.
  • Cool completely in pan. Cover very loosely with plastic wrap; chill until firm, at least 2 hours (and up to 2 days). Use foil overhang to lift cheesecake out of pan. With metal spatula, lift cheesecake from foil; cut into 16 squares.

  • Combine flour and sugar, then butter until the mixture clumps together. Press firmly into 8" (20cm) square pan. Bake at 350 (180C) oven 15-18 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from oven and spread with jam.
  • Beat eggs until light and creamy. Beat in pie filling and ground almonds. Pour over jam layer. Sprinkle with sliced almonds. Bake 20 - 25 minutes or until set and firm to touch. Cool. Cut into squares.

Steps:

  • Sprinkle gelatin over cold water and set aside.
  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, bring 3/4 cup water to a boil. Stir in 2 cups sugar and boil 5 minutes. Stir in gelatin mixture. Allow to boil gently for 15 minutes.
  • Dip three shallow, small pans in cold water, then remove. Remove boiling mixture from heat, and divide evenly among three heat-proof bowls. Flavor one bowl with peppermint, one with lemon, and one with cinnamon. Tint the peppermint green, the lemon yellow, and the cinnamon red. Pour each mixture into its own pan and let rest overnight to set.
  • Turn gumdrops out onto a sugared board and cut into squares with a sharp knife. Roll cut gumdrops in sugar. Let stand until firm.

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter a 9-by-13-inch glass baking dish; line dish with waxed paper.
  • Make crust: An adult should grate butter on a cheese grater with large holes. In a separate large bowl, whisk together flour, confectioners' sugar, and salt. Add butter; stir with a wooden spoon until combined and mixture looks crumbly.
  • Transfer mixture to baking dish; press evenly onto bottom with your hands. Chill crust in freezer 15 minutes. Bake until slightly golden, 16 to 18 minutes.

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch pan.
  • In a medium bowl, stir together 2 cups flour and confectioners' sugar. Blend in the melted butter. Press into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, or until golden. In a large bowl, beat eggs until light. Combine the sugar, baking powder and 1/4 cup of flour so there will be no flour lumps. Stir the sugar mixture into the eggs. Finally, stir in the lemon juice. Pour over the prepared crust and return to the oven.
  • Bake for an additional 30 minutes or until bars are set. Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.

Meyer Lemon Cake Bars image

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Butter a 9" x 9" baking pan and set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl or in the bowl of a stand mixer affixed with the paddle attachment, beat together the butter and sugar on medium speed until fluffy, about two minutes.
  • Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • Add the the lemon juice and lemon zest and beat on low just until combined.
  • In a medium bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  • Pour the flour mixture into the butter/sugar/lemon mixture and mix together until blended.
  • Spread mixture in the baking pan.
  • Bake for 30 minutes, until the cake bars begin to get golden brown around the edges, and are set in the middle.
  • Cool for about 20 - 30 minutes.
  • Make the glaze. Whisk together the powdered sugar, lemon juice and lemon zest.
  • Drizzle glaze over the top of the cake bars.
  • Cut into squares and serve.
