LILIKOI LIQUEUR (PASSION FRUIT)

It makes a VERY delicate drink. I would not waste it by mixing with other things, just enjoy. This will make enough to enjoy and give some as gifts. If you want less, just scale the recipe.

Lilikoi Liqueur (Passion Fruit) image

Steps:

  • Place half of the vodka with the passion fruit.
  • Set it aside for 15 days.
  • After 15 days dissolve sugar in water.
  • Combine with the passion fruit mixture and add the remaining vodka.
  • Set it aside for another 15 days.
  • Enjoy.
  • Set aside time is not included.

8 1/2 cups water

Lilikoi Butter - Passion Fruit image

Steps:

  • Melt butter over medium heat.
  • Mix eggs, suar and juice in a bowl.
  • While stirring constantly, slowly add mix to melted butter and bring to a full rolling boil over medium heat. Use only medium heat so eggs don't coddle.
  • Cook 10-15 minutes to desired consistency.
  • Jar and refrigerate. OR use standard canning methods.

1 1/2 cups lilikoi juice, passion fruit
4 cups sugar
4 eggs, beaten
4 ounces butter

  • Fill two glasses with crushed ice. Strain the mixture evenly into the glasses. Add the club soda or seltzer water to fill the fill the glasses.
