EDIBLE CHOCOLATE MARSHMALLOW DREIDELS

For an easy spin on the Hanukkah top, whip up these fun, kid-friendly treats. Marshmallows form the dreidels' bodies, chocolate kisses serve as the tips, and pretzel sticks act as the knobs. A quick dip in melted chocolate provides a surface for piping white-chocolate Hebrew letters.

Edible Chocolate Marshmallow Dreidels image

Steps:

  • Dip bottom of chocolate kiss in melted semisweet chocolate. Press onto marshmallow; transfer to a parchment-lined baking sheet. Repeat to make 12 dreidels. Refrigerate for 10 minutes.
  • Cut a small slit in bottom of each marshmallow; insert 1 thin pretzel stick. Dip dreidels in chocolate, and return to baking sheet. Refrigerate until set, about 15 minutes.
  • Fill a resealable plastic bag with melted white chocolate; cut a tiny opening in a corner, and pipe Hebrew letters onto 3 sides of each dreidel. Refrigerate at least 5 minutes or up to 8 hours before serving.

8 ounces melted semisweet chocolate
12 marshmallows
12 thin pretzel sticks
2 ounces melted white chocolate

These candy dreidels couldn't be easier to assemble, making them the perfect family project. So gather the kiddos, grab a bag of marshmallows, unwrap some chocolate kisses, microwave some candy melts, and whip up a batch of these festive holiday tops.

Steps:

  • Push the pretzel sticks into the tops of the marshmallows.
  • Melt the white candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl in the microwave at 30-second intervals. Use some to "glue" a chocolate kiss onto the other end of each marshmallow.
  • Arrange the marshmallow sticks on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Freeze 15 minutes.
  • Remelt the white candy melts, then dip the dreidels to fully cover. Return to the baking sheet and freeze until set, 10 minutes. Pipe Hebrew letters using melted blue candy melts.

6 thin pretzel sticks, halved
12 marshmallows
1 cup white candy melts

Steps:

  • Spear each marshmallow with a pretzel stick.
  • On a hot skillet, melt the bottoms of the chocolate kisses for a few seconds. Stick the melted part to the marshmallow top. Let them set for a few minutes until hard.
  • Melt the white chocolate in the microwave for 1 minute, stirring every 20 seconds until the chocolate is smooth. Add the blue food coloring and mix thoroughly.
  • With a spoon, smear the chocolate thickly over the marshmallow sides. Smooth the sides down with the back of the spoon; wiping away excess.
  • Set each on wax paper to set.
  • With a icing tube, or piping bag, decorate them with the Hebrew letters נ ,ג ,ה ,ש.
  • Enjoy!
