MY SECRET SHRIMP SAUCE RECIPE

Ok! here is my secret recipe for shrimp sauce. I have had many request for it. This recipe is not only good for shrimp or other seafoods but is also good for most anything your heart desires. Some examples are... fried rice,a salad dressing for salads,egg rolls, raw vegetables and just plain old chips. Keep chilled up to 2weeks, best flavor is the next day after making. My family loves it on everything. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

My Secret Shrimp Sauce Recipe image

Steps:

  • In a blender or food processor, add all the ingredients.
  • Blend until smooth.
  • Store in a glass jar with lid.
  • Chill for a hour or overnight before serving.
  • Keep in refrigerator up to 2 weeks.
  • NOTE: If you want it to be alittle more of a hotter taste, add alittle more Tabasco sauce and another dash of white pepper.

2 1/4 cups mayonnaise (I use Best Foods)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
1 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
1/4 cup water
1 3/4 tablespoons Heinz ketchup
1 teaspoon black pepper
6 teaspoons sugar
1 dash salt

JAPANESE SHRIMP SAUCE II

The sauces you get in those Japanese steak houses vary from place to place. Here is another version of shrimp sauce found in Japanese steakhouses. It is sweet and light pinkish in color.

  • In a blender or food processor, combine mayonnaise, water, ketchup, sugar, and hot pepper sauce. Season with garlic powder, paprika, white pepper, and black pepper, and salt. Blend until smooth.

Steps:

  • Force garlic through a press into a bowl and stir together with remaining ingredients. Chill sauce at least 4 hours and up to 3 days.
  • Serve sauce with shrimp and/or crudités.

1 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup chili sauce (such as Heinz)
1 tablespoon drained bottled horseradish, or to taste
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard, or to taste
1/8 teaspoon cayenne, or to taste

Steps:

  • Heat the oil in a large, heavy pot over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp shells and cook, stirring, until they turn golden brown, about 8 minutes. Lower the heat to medium.
  • Add the onion, carrot, celery, thyme and garlic to the pot. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables begin to soften, about 6 minutes. Add the tomatoes, stock, brandy and wine. Simmer, uncovered, for 1 hour.
  • Pass the liquid through a strainer and discard the solids. Pour the liquid into a saucepan and simmer until reduced to 1 1/2 cups. Season with salt to taste. Remove from the heat. Add the butter 1 tablespoon at a time, whisking constantly until all of the butter has been incorporated and the sauce is the consistency of heavy cream. Strain and set aside. Serve with sturgeon and spring vegetables (see above).

  • Cook pasta according to package directions. Meanwhile, combine flour, Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper in a shallow dish. Add shrimp; turn to coat, shaking off excess flour mixture. To serve, spoon sauce into shallow dishes. Top with pasta and shrimp and if desired, additional basil.
