- Manco and Manco. This has been a staple of my family's Ocean City Boardwalk diet since year one. There have been a bunch of different pizza options over the years, but this one is by far the best.
- Fudge Kitchen. In order to allow your body to keep eating all day long, some things you only need a taste of, which is what makes The Fudge Kitchen so perfect.
- Curly’s Fries. This is an Ocean City Boardwalk personal favorite of mine. It definitely took some shopping around to locate where to go to get the ultimate cheese fry experience, but in the end, Curly’s Fries wins the gold.
- Johnson’s Popcorn. We have a reusable tub from this place so we get discounts when we go back. That’s how much we like it. If you time it right, you can see them marrying the heavenly union of popcorn and caramel in a giant kettle.
- Shriver’s. Salt water taffy is an absolute must on any boardwalk. With flavors ranging from watermelon to chocolate to Jolly Rancher, it’s well worth the sugar-induced toothache that your mother will warn you about.
- Bubble Tea and Beyond. This is a new addition, but definitely a good one. Previously, Bubble Tea and Beyond was a stand that made some of the most bomb waffles I’ve ever had.
- TLC's Polish Water Ice. Most people know water ice of the Rita’s variety. But that ain’t got nothin’ on Polish Water Ice. Exactly what part of the process is different that makes it better?
- Cone Appetit. This is another newbie on the Ocean City Boardwalk block, but, oh man, do I hope it’s here to stay. Amazing pun name aside, it was a pleasant surprise how tasty these were.
- Opa. So this place boats mostly standard Greek foods, but they also have kickass crêpes. We got a classic lamb gyro, stuffed to the brim with all the fillings.
- Hula Restaurant and Sauce Co. Many of the vendors in Ocean City are directly on the boardwalk, so if you want to sit and enjoy, you may have to fend off other visitors for some of the scattered benches.

- Blue Cactus. Blue Cactus is a newcomer to the Boardwalk, having just opened in June of 2017. It has a lot to prove given the number of longstanding competitors, but by presenting something new to the mix of traditional seaside fare, I can foresee Blue Cactus becoming a favorite in its own right.
- Bubble Tea & Beyond. Also a fairly recent addition to the Boardwalk scene is Bubble Tea & Beyond. Of all of the places on this list, I can attest to the impeccable service here the most adamantly.
- Manco & Manco Pizza. Anyone with any degree of familiarity with boardwalk food in general would almost certainly tell you the first thing that comes to mind when asked about beach cuisine is pizza.
- Yoasis. Definitely one of the trendier options on this list, Yoasis caters to the sweet tooth in us all. Its offerings include frozen yogurt with a vast array of fresh toppings, smoothies, coffee, and ‘Beach Bowls,’ more commonly recognized as açaí bowls.
- Chickie's & Pete’s Crabfries. I may not know who Chickie or Pete are, but I know they make a mean fry. Crabfries, much to my initial chagrin, are not actually made of crab.
- Bob’s Fresh Lemonade. For me, a trip to the shore would be incomplete without stopping at Bob’s Fresh Lemonade. Their lemonades range from the classic, served over ice and with half a lemon to boot, to a banana lemonade.
- Jilly’s Ice Cream Factory. If there was a stop on this list that could really unleash your inner child, Jilly’s Ice Cream Factory is it. Located right next to the historic Jilly’s Arcade, the Ice Cream Factory lives up to its title with an extensive ice cream menu sure to satisfy your ice cream craving du jour.
- Angelo’s Family Restaurant. Angelo’s is a boardwalk standby that specializes in Americanized Italian dishes like pastas and pizza. True to advertising, it’s a great place to get a casual dinner with the family.
- Johnson’s Popcorn. If you’ve had caramel popcorn before, you’re likely of the opinion that it represents the pinnacle of the sweet and salty flavor combination.

If you like people-watching, opt for an outdoor table (about 5 of them to choose from).
